The Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) holds an inventory of ventilators of various types that can be deployed during a public health emergency if public health and healthcare facilities need additional ventilators to care for patients. Most of the ventilators sent to California by the Feds. were broken and non functioning.The state sent them out to a company called Bloom energy, which provides alternative to electric suppliers energy for companies and small condo complexes.This companies engineers repaired and rehabilitated them.

 

And yet.... on Jan31st Trump did deliver an official proclamation banning flights Proclamation on Suspension of Entry

 

I am so glad that we do not have our entire health care system controlled and run by the feds. If we did, then the private sector would not have been able to bail out the CDC for all their failures to provide.

 

The CDC is an EXECUTIVE Department Agency. That means the White House appoints it's leadership and overseas it.Trump ran the show for THREE YEARS.
They DO control the National Stockpile of ventilators...

They do NOT control PPE or masks or anything of the other things you're whining about

And why did they not have enough ventilators? Because "austere Republicans" in Congress would not provide the necessary money

 

It's a State function and the states are supposed to have themselves prepared with the first responders and the hospitals. The federal government assists the states.

I just heard from a friend that the Downtown University Hospital
in Louisville was basically empty today.He was there to have his
daughter tested because she is Pregnant.
Explains why the move to not allow press into hospitals to
report on what they find.They are gonna find many beds available.
Cuomo is acting like there is something We the People can do
in regards to this Virus.Like having on a person who is making a plea
to not expect to use this Malaria Drug.It shouldn't be used.Not yet.
That makes about as much sense as asking a Johns Hopkins Surgeon
for a kinky haircut.
If it saves just one life { Hydrochloroquine } then it was worth trying.
But we already know it works.Which obviously would create a
dilemma for anyone wanting this Virus to spread and get worse and
create a real panic.So as to have someone viable to blame.

Plus we are learning by the day how Andrew Cuomo Lies.
He uses his family { Mother and loved ones } for a tearjerker
appeal.With him making sure the Hospitals run on time.
yeah right.The same guy who bullied any New Yorker that's a
conservative needs to just leave New York.They don't share
a New Yorkers mindset.Meaning ... Abortion on demand.
Gun banning.Higher and higher taxes.Illegals can expect
a Sanctuary State c/o of Big Boss Cuomo.
Past the Hudson most those in New York can't stand

Did you read the links I posted? Good grief, one of these failures by the CDC stated way back it during the GW Bush admin, and the others have been ongoing all throughout the Obama admin.

IF the CDC had resupplied the PPE for the national stockpile back in 2009, we would not be lacking in masks, face shields, gowns and ventilators!!!!!

The entire world was caught with it's pants down, it's folks like you who live to point fingers at Trump but this is a product of the Obama administration. During his tenure Obama cut funding to the CDC to bankroll pet projects like Solyndra and being the good Marxist that he is, didn't give a flying feck for the people.

 

Why is this surprising? This is how it goes down in liberal run cities. New yorkers voted for that trash and now they have to deal with the consequences

do you get it? The CDC had two decades of problems getting ventilators, but you think it's Trump's fault. As if Trump was supposed to know that the CDC was not buying ventilators?????

This was an existing problem, the CDC knew about it, and they failed to act. The CDC also failed to restock the needed PPE, and the FDA had rules in place making it impossible for the USA to perform any large scale testing of the COVID-19 virus. All of these failures came crashing down in February 2020. These were preexisting issues, and in no way were they Trump's fault. Even Obama was not aware of these problems or I'm sure he would have made sure to fix them.

 

Yes. The Obama Administration drew down 3/4ths of the N95 respirators and never restocked them.

Trump shipped NY thousands of ventilators, they warehoused them and then Cuomo lied and claimed they only sent four hundred. Once Trump pantsed him for his warehouse hoarding, Cuomo has since shut up about the ventilators.

Other than lying about the ventilators though, I think Cuomo has done a decent job, especially with the daily communication.

NY was unprepared because the libs did not take the virus seriously. They ignored the president’s warnings. Called his actions to combat it, an overreaction and literally ripped up his speech discussing the Chinese virus.
