If you need to contrive a diversion from the Republican governor rejecting Trump's lie, you might do better to try to draw attention to an unusual bird sighting.

Once the virus evolves sufficiently it will publish a set of memoirs with the same title as the OP.

To what, micromanage the CDC and other relevant agencies. Surely you can't be serious.

That's your opinion, but can you support it with evidence?

So Korea's President is the only person responsible for the success?

What evidence do you have connecting the number of virus cases to Trump's ignorant, cavalier attitude?

"Call the shots" as in make the decisions?

What are you saying that he was doing prior to using "we?"

    Blaming who for what?

Trump having it "under control" as of February 25 when he assured America that "We have very few people with it" and "the people are getting better, they're all getting better!" said it all.

Otherwise, we might have had a spot of bother.

You are in the minority of Americans in this view as an absolute majority support Trump's response to COVID-19 according to polling aggregated by RCP.

In general I think leaders should talk it down, tell people to be cautious but optimistic. In reality this is the biggest world event since WWII, will precipitate years of outright authoritatian dictatorship across the world, and economic ruin like we have never seen before.

We are going to live in a dystopian dictatorship until we find a vaccine (hopefully we revert then).

As people gradually realise this there will be panic and unrest. Leaders should seek to mitigate this.

Otherwise known as the left. They're always the best at revisionism.

Your first three sentences are false:
    - the House was not involved in impeachment proceedings in January, and the Senate did not hold up any Covid legislation during the impeachment. Republicans were not asking for anything to happen either. The federal government was not paralyzed.
    - Democrats don't have an open border policy and there is zero evidence that the spread of Covid in USA was caused or driven by illegals
    - Cuomo is showing daily that he is more competent in responding to this crisis than Dirty Donny Bonespurs

And as for your fourth sentence - this is still ongoing. What is your prediction about where the mortality per million capita will end up? Do you think it will top out at 15? 20? Do you think USA will be significantly lower than France or UK or Belgium at the end of the day?

If you do not wish to honestly confront the documented reality of Trump braying that he had the pandemic "under control" on February 25 when he assured America that "We have very few people with it" and "the people are getting better, they're all getting better!!", I fully understand.

Epidemiological experts were voicing a far different reality at the time, one that those with an ideological agenda would rather deny, divert attention from, ignore, or suppress:
    Screen Shot 2020-04-01 at 8.01.10 AM.png
"We expect we will see community spread in this country.
It's not so much a question of if this will happen anymore,
but rather more a question of exactly when this will happen
and how many people in this country will have severe illness."

Dr. Nancy Messonnier, director of the CDC's National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases

South Korea, with its first case identified on the same day, is an apt comparison. It stands in stark contrast in its instituting prompt, responsive, and sensible measures that succeeded in limiting the spread while it continues to surge in the United States in its trajectory to soon becoming the global epicenter of the disease.

If you enjoy Trump's false statements concerning testing - "Anybody who wants a test can get a test!" - the day after Pence had admitted “We don’t have enough tests today to meet what we anticipate will be the demand going forward,” or his fake claims that needed medical supplies and ventilators were being provided where needed as governors of both parties were pleading a far different plight, you will thrill at his plucky banter that eschews truth, and swoon at his self-congratulatory effusions.

I am convinced that respect for the truth serves the nation far better.

No, otherwise known as government and media individuals, maybe even "bots", whose job it is to keep false narratives alive.

I don't see where he said the House. Can you point it out to me?

Oh and btw, Senator Tom Cotton was actually the first politician to take the corona virus seriously and was calling for measures to be taken.

They don't? Could have fooled me with all the incentives that they're offering them. Free healthcare, not going after any illegal that has not committed a felony (some don't even want felons deported). They might not have an official "open borders" policy, but their actions sure do show that is what they prefer.

This is nothing more than opinion. You're welcome to it.

I wonder what efforts Cotton made, which measures he advocated for? It would be interesting to know the dates he made those efforts.
