We all will, what other choice did we have. People were forced from their jobs with no real options of other employment. You think this is the same as asking for free college? I think keeping people fed and shelter is a little more important with what's happening.

I agree with you, but my question stands. You've been constantly saying that we would love to do all these things like health care and college but we simply don't have the money. So where is all this money coming from? Don't get me wrong, it's nice to know it's there but where has it been all this time? Could it be that you just don't WANT to invest in people rather than tanks and walls?

We don't have the money for that, and that's a neverending expense. We can't really afford this either, but again, we had no choice.

For businesses with less than 500 workers yes. Actually for businesses with multiple locations each of which has less than 500 workers (kind of a loop hole for corps)

Over 500 workers and they have to maintain 90% of workforce for 6 months to get loan forgiveness

We "could" have always done them.

We have no choice but to spend that money now though

No question, I am just saying we should remember this when the conservatives say we cannot "afford" to make this or that rational investment in our citizenry in the future.

Congressman Nunes just said to might, along with Fox News, that we must get everybody back to work in the next week or two!

Lets go, Republicans! Show us how its done!

Basic math. Those who read the book and support UBI are unable to address the issues of sustainability and the cost of bureaucracy.

How do you know what the cost of bureaucracy will be?

We already have a working example. Do you think they will magically become efficient and responsible all of a sudden?

I don't think there is a large segment of the right that would be all on board for free college and Medicare for all if only you could get the price tag down. If so, I would like to hear their argument.

Well it's a good thing we didn't put money towards that otherwise what would we have done now?

If you have $10K in savings, do you use it on whatever sounds good at the time or do you save it for when something happens and you need it to survive?

The government is not a family savings plan. The first and most important difference? The head of the household does not run the mint.

Why do you ask? Don't you want the economy to collapse and hurt Trump in November?
