I have serious doubts about the sense in trying to blame Trump for tens of thousands of deaths. Donald Trump wasn't the only person who didn't do much to get ready in the time they had before it hit us. I agree, he was a total shithead for a month there. But if Donald Trump was really responsible for people dying because he downplayed it, why are the people who don't like him and don't listen to him in an equal position and just as unprepared? Where were the Democratic leaders, or really any politicians of any color, on TV warning people to prepare and pushing legislation to that effect? People knew he was downplaying it while he was downplaying it.

The only people you might be able to lay at his feet are his devout followers, but they are just as responsible for themselves as anyone else. And I see plenty of Trump supporters among the ranks of those taking this seriously.

He made a huge mistake, his biggest yet, in downplaying it like he did.

But he isn't and won't be responsible for tens of thousands of deaths.

That is the government's preferred model. It updates dynamically.

This will kill more in April than the flu will all year.

That's because trump had never such a thing as the fact that the flu kills people.

If he delayed the response by one month he killed 10's of thousands.
It's not the first months worth he killed, it's the last month.

How should Trump have made the arms and legs of the manufacturers work any faster? No, seriously, I wanna hear this. There's a foreign nation that killed doctors, destroyed labs and continues to withhold facts, but let's ignore them. It's ORANGE MAN BAD.

That's it, really? Just flip a switch and poof, back to normal? The economy and supply chains just run like nothing happened?

I suppose soup lines in the 30's were caused by 14 days of quarantine?

Even though I disagree with your post about the absolute cause of death being Coronavirus as the vast majority of the deceased are extremely old with at least one underlying issue I must reprimand you on posting a photo of a improperly secured weapon. If you can extract your vision from the chest and leg area of the female you’ll notice her trigger finger in the unsafe position alongside the firing mechanism. She has a better chance of shooting herself in the leg than deterring any criminal from stealing her butt wipe.

The most orange elephant in the room is the lack of a stay at home "order."
To this day there are still states without one.

Anyone who is comparing this to past pandemic is not looking at the growth speed of the virus.

How many past pandemics needed Navy ships set up as hospitals?

Did he really delay? Did he prevent others from preparing? Every other government official was free to raise the alarm but next to no one really did until March. That's not Trump's fault. You will need to include literally thousands of politicians at the local, state, and federal level in your blame net, not just Trump.

I call it lack of leadership. But if your suggesting we don't need him, I'm all for it. At least then we wouldn't have the boss telling people don't worry be happy.
I mean really... I just heard the Governor of Georgia say he didn't know asymptomatic people could spread the virus until he heard it today..

When this is over, Blue States should sue red states that refused to issue stay at home orders. Their delays will only force us all to stay isolated longer, add greater losses to the economy, and it will kill more people.

Republicans will have a hell of a lot of blood on their hands. Their frivolous, ignorant, and reckless behavior caused millions of people to not take this seriously. Even now some don't.

Could Trump use such an executive order? He could. It'd look bad on him(and he knows it. Democrats have already politicized the hell out of this crisis), which is why he didn't want to declare a state of emergency to begin with. Little did he know, once he did, we discovered that we elected a bunch of Joseph Stalin's everywhere.

(In hindsight, the best thing that came from that is that a bunch of these governors will lose re-election, and likely this will be the only seat they'll ever occupy.)

People are so focused on "orange man bad", that they don't realize: They look worse. They look worse, act worse and governed worse.

But sincerely, thank you now governors like the one in Michigan won't be able to hide and retract their stupidity in an ad or a stump speech.

Never before have we seen so many elected officials fail at governing, simultaneously all at once. And it couldn't have happened without the fiat takeover.

In my country, that fact was given attention last week. The disease is most prolific in the highest socio-economic areas. Much less is being seen in the poorest areas.

No one should be 'doing business' other than essential services, and no one should be shopping as usual.
