That would only be possible if Trump had independent control over the coronavirus response, and even then, it would still only be WORDS, rather than ACTION.

Those articles all come from some mainstream, and some not mainstream media outlets such as Buzzfeed and Changing America. I think I've made my point. You have very selectively taken news articles from that period of time in which Americans were being lied to, the experts were trying to get the truth out to the public, and Trump ignored them or downplayed it which made this pandemic in the US more dangerous than it would have been if he went into action immediately and ordered new vents and masks to be produced and started to lock-down every state by self-quarantine and social distancing. Those 8 weeks or so would prove to be extremely reckless and incompetent on his part.

And just to remind you once again in case you've forgotten. On Feb 28th Trump had a rally in South Carolina. He couldn't let that rally go because Joe Biden was kicking his ass in S. Carolina, so he needed to have his ego building rally despite all the danger with coronavirus and crowds together. Mor harmful than his words about the virus being a 'democratic hoax' were these words; "You hear thirty-five and forty thousand people and we've lost nobody. And you wonder why the press is in hysteria mode." YES those are the most harmful words ever spoken to the American public in centuries because it convinced every idiot of his base that the virus was a hoax and nothing to fear. And, here we are, filled with fear now, and justifiably so.

From the beginning it was up to people who were interested to follow and sift through the information, follow it up looking at other things and then come to their decision. The person I followed was pretty sure China was not being honest about the numbers way back. You are telling me that the United States with the most advanced an nosey ability to spy everywhere and anywhere all the times, did not know that. Fools then. Absolute idiot Trump is the man who will be responsible for the hell to be let loose on the USA and that is not just the old with poor immune systems which I notice many are quite happy to die but apart from the few deaths of the under 50's, there is the concern about long term lung damage to the younger people who find themselves needing hospital care - about 40% of people needing medical attention are under 50.

Here it is explained how easy it was for one man on his own to come to the conclusion China was not being honest and of course he was just one of many, but you claim the intelligent services of the US are so weak they were incapable....and did not even guess that the very quick isolation will have done something to lower the numbers even if they probably are higher than admitted to. China put people into lockdown when it had 17 deaths in the whole of China.
