The inspector general detailed devastating, systematic FBI failures in executing procedures designed to ensure the accuracy of FISA applications.

I can only pray that our complacent 'Shining City on a Hill', the US of A, will be roused from its lethargy in the wake of these trying times. We have Iran poking us with a stick abroad, a Chinese pandemic unleashed upon us & this - Deep State criminality, perpetrated against our most hallowed US processes / individuals. The FISA courts have been duped, toyed with & manipulated by the very institutions that have been erected to safeguard its citizens ~ the sacrosanctity of our Nation! America, it is not only time to go back to the drawing board on these issues but to uproot the systemic rot from within! (imho - of course...)

On March 31, Inspector General Michael Horowitz released an interim report on his audit of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s compliance with procedures to protect Americans’ civil rights in Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act cases. Horowitz’s “Management Advisory Memorandum” detailed devasting and systematic failures by the FBI in executing the procedures designed to ensure the accuracy of the applications submitted under oath to the FISA court.

Contrary to the left’s spin, the FBI’s incompetence in handling more (Most? All?) FISA cases is not a vindication of the Crossfire Hurricane team that illegally surveilled Carter Page and, in turn, the Donald Trump campaign.

    Bullet points of linked article...

    - Ignoring Rules Designed to Preserve Accuracy
    - Constant and Widespread Errors
    - A Mockery of Pretended Oversight
    - Will This Be a Final Straw for Congress?

Schiff said that everything was done right and that Nunes was a liar. Jordan has called for an investigation into FISA and Schiff has done everything he can to ignore Jordan's request. Now they have the head of a committee that pushed conspiracy theories and is now working at ignoring an actual Constitutional travesty.

"The Woods Procedures, Horowitz explained, were implemented “in 2001 following errors in numerous FISA applications submitted to the FISC in FBI counterterrorism investigations.” Those procedures sought to “minimize factual inaccuracies in FISA applications and to ensure that statements contained in applications are ‘scrupulously accurate.’”

    Yawn.

The FISA Court Judges failed at their jobs. They need to be fired and we need to disband those abominations that have destroyed the 4th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

People in the FBI that outright lied and changed facts on the FISA Applications need to go to prison.

Yeah. The FISA Scandal Is about Corruption, Not ‘Sloppiness.’

You would think that this kind of potential abuse by the Justice Department would pique the interest of the Fake News Media, but, no such luck.

When 96 percent of spy warrants reviewed contain serious errors or omissions — that’s wholescale fraud, not a few little slip-ups.

What are the chances that a good-faith investigation would botch nearly every request to spy on the campaign when the FISA court is already signing off on over 96 percent of applications? What are the chances that the FISA applications of a good-faith investigation would be riddled with errors and rely on “misleading and inaccurate” information based on a fabulist document paid for by the opposing political party?

In December, Senator Ted Cruz asked Horowitz:

“A lawyer at the FBI creates fraudulent evidence, alters an email that is in turn used as the basis for a sworn statement to the court that the court relies on. Am I stating that accurately?”

    Horowitz answered: “That’s correct.”

Horowitz told the Senate that the FISA warrants relied "entirely” on the fictitious Steele dossier, a document featuring “intelligence” gleaned from foreign powers, and paid for by the political party running against the campaign under investigation.

FBI lawyers manufactured evidence to spy on a political campaign. Some of the FBI agents involved promised to “stop” the president. Top FBI leadership, the people who have been lecturing us about patriotism and loyalty, have lied. And not just James Comey and Andrew McCabe. Onetime CIA director John Brennan spied on the legislative branch and lied about it to the American people. Onetime director of national intelligence James Crapper spied on the American people through a domestic surveillance program and lied about it to Congress.

How embarrassing is it to read this nonsense now after finding out that Dirty Bob Mueller and his Witch Hunters deliberately concealed exculpatory information that fully cooperated Don Jr's testimony?

Keep in mind that the Trump's, Mueller, The FBI, and Witch Hunters have known the truth about this for years.

    Yup.

    Comey, McCabe, Brennan, Crapper?

    This is Major Stuff.

I Foresee (the possibility of) Several Federal Death Penalty Cases.

    Hopefully they get good lawyers.

They might be able to cop a plea to Life without Parole.

    Godspeed. :flagus:

Nahhh ~ we'll settle for even a modicum of the just deserts & requisite scrutiny deserved here; far less than Roger Stone's witch hunt entailed... :)

Comey is such a bucket of Scum

THAT GUY IS SUCH A WEASEL. Declassified Susan Rice email shows Comey suggested ‘sensitive’ info on Russia not be shared with Flynn.

Interesting how these Deep State Scum kept it "classified" until Barr pried it out of their evil claws.

Vile Scum That Spied On Americans.

The email Rice sent to herself on Jan. 20, 2017, documented a Jan. 5 Oval Office meeting with Obama and others, during which he provided guidance on how law enforcement needed to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 presidential race. Parts of it were released previously, but the section on Comey's response had been classified as "TOP SECRET" until now.

    Sure, "Top Secret"!

Like when Lying Andy McCabe spent $70k on a table and the FBI hid it claiming the National Security of the United States would be damaged if Lying Andy's loose spending was revealed.

It is amazing how the Right is making an art of trying to make any real or imagined and even trivial deficiencies in FISA warrants, which the Republicans try to spin as that these Trump criminals did not break the law.

Once upon a time, the Republicans were incensed about "technicalities" letting criminals go free!

Now, "technicalities" are a way of life for Trump and Republicans so they can get millions of dollars in foreign bribes or completely ignore laws, but some imagined deficiencies means these Trumpies are not breaking laws.
