Silly, I thought they already closed the gun stores. Of course if this language is in the legislation and they have a way to determine whether a gun was purchased with bailout money or some other money then I suppose it might make sense to some people. I doubt either is true so it makes no sense.

 

Popularity is an individual sentiment. Everyone can vote for whomever is the most popular as they see it. Perhaps I missed your meaning.

I pegged it for a Lame April Fool's Joke the second that I saw it.

I literally can't believe that anybody actually took this (what was obviously an April Fool's Joke) seriously.

I even started a thread about these lame April Fool's Jokes:

I will. I have never understood the point of this day. I have never participated. Each year, I fall for one or two things until it sticks that it's THAT day. I just don't get it.

I fell for exactly two this year. This one (for a total of 10 minutes,) and one from my brother in law showing news that the governor in his state had deemed liquor stores to be non-essential.

 

Of course, there was also the expected Litany of Celeb Death Rumors (this year linked to the Virus).

One that got a lot of traction was the widely disseminated "Federer Retires" BS Story.

Don't people realize what day it is?
