Donald gave companies a tax break. Hence they started to make more profit. Hence the stock market went up. But it's not because the companies were doing better. It's only because the tax break. A tax break he made, by... LENDING money. So now the stock market has crashed... it's just terrible, because Donald just lend a utterly massive amount of money more to combat Corona and the economic crisis... to make them companies survive. So the companies are now doing terrible, and the debt went through the roof. It's unlikely that the stock market is going to go up. That money just vanished. And if the stock market does go up, it's just hot air. It's not based on how well the companies are doing or profits. The debt is still there. Probably average joe needs to pay most of the rent and gets nothing in return but a low wage job.

These are surely strange times. I find myself defending Donald Trump on here almost daily these days. Although I suppose that could be because for the first time he's actually doing things, or not doing things, that allow him to be defendable. But, it's also because people are taking the opportunity to blame him for things that are not his fault. Like

Donald Trump is not responsible for the unemployment. It has been state governments that have shut down businesses, and rightly so. It was the right thing to do.

You only make yourself look stupid when you try to blame things on him that are clearly not his fault. And you look even more foolish when one realizes that a person is resorting to nonsense to attack Trump, a man who provides plentiful ammunition for legitimate criticism as it is.
