Brian Kemp, the Republican governor of Georgia, admitted on Wednesday that he had only just learned that asymptomatic individuals can still spread coronavirus — even though health experts had warned about the possibility as early as January.
Kemp, in a press conference on Wednesday said the fact that he’d just learned that information contributed to him issuing a statewide shelter-in-place order in Georgia.
Kemp, said that he had, in just the last 24 hours, learned “that this virus is now transmitting before people see signs.”

    Wow. :smh:

A GOP Governor (of a Major State) being so Clueless (and Out-of-the-Loop) that they DIDN'T even realize the phenomenon of "Asymptomatic Transmission" until Yesterday?

    That is pretty scary.

Especially when (in lieu of Trump ordering a Nationwide Quarantine) this guy is making decisions that can affect life-and-death.

Do you find it surprising (even stupefying) that the Governor of a Major State could be so out-of-the-loop on a Health Crisis of this magnitude?

    Thoughts?

This is what happens when you live in a right wing bubble.

That's what happens when, in typical GOP fashion, your thinking revolves around money only, and everything else becomes secondary.

These GOP types, who live in the alternative facts world, are becoming more and more dangerous. Think about all the other things they don't know and all the other decisions they make based on their gut feeling instead of facts. It is truly scary. The problem is, the entire RW lives in this fact-free bubble and keeps electing these clowns.

Can you even IMAGINE the Utter BLINDERS that someone like Kemp must be wearing?

Is this the "effect" that Trump has on GOP Governors?

    Clueless By Osmosis?

The utter CLUELESSNESS is beyond Stupefying. Unbelievable actually, :smh:

When I saw this story I thought for sure it had to be an April Fools joke. It is so sad to see that it is true. The most horrifying part after watching the video is he seemed to imply that a Dr. Toomey who must be providing medical advice to the governor had no idea until 24 hours ago too.

Either he is lying or the report is lying.

Go figure the lefties think he is lying without a shred of proof either way.

    Typical

Let's also add that their "report" is a CNN article.

    Hahahaha

They are all a little slow getting the message. Unfortunately, in this case, being slow is costing lots of lives. And, no, that can't be excused by some random Dem also being slow getting the message. We expect our CIC and our governors to be quick at getting the message, not slow. Them running with the herd is not what we need, we need leadership in these trying times.

You mean like the Dem Party governor defying medical experts by refusing to allow them -- the actual trained professionals -- to utilize proven malaria drug medicine in the treatment of CoronaVirus patients? Yes . . . shocking. Good point.

I think he's lying, there's no other explanation. I think the republicans want a lot of us to die. Kemp lives 6.5 miles from the Center for Disease Control Headquarters in Atlanta, there's no way he wasn't aware of this. So, a lot of deaths in his state is the only explanation I can come up with.
