I don't think its what you were going for, but this post reeks of defeatism. There is a correct answer, it looks like we have found the correct path now, shame we found it too late and are walking it kinda half-hearted.

Cool story Ron so tell us how many did shutting down travel from China save? How many did the task force being set up save? All ears because if you can't answer that then your pot shots are worthless that have zero meaning.

The virus is not the president's fault. The response (or lack thereof) is. Trump's downplaying, the nonsense about malaria drugs being a cure ... things like that cost lives. It is my logical and reasonable opinion that Donald Trump has blood on his hands. And I'm not the only one.

Keep an open mind if you can, and try to ignore some of the more inflammatory wording as I do when someone sends me to Fox News, Breitbart, or the Daily Caller. If you can dispute any specific points, go right ahead, but I've been all over the WWW and found nothing but corroboration.

Are people asleep or something? We passed a 2 trillion stimulus(which apparently has cogs in it now, depending on if the IRS has your bank information or not.) and we've got this whole lockdown thing and for a time, governors trying to diktat medical decisions.

You couldn't have swung farther left without an election, ever. This administration is now an administration in name only(See: Omar's support for the stimulus.) I'm not saying that the stimulus part is bad per se, I'm just saying: The reality is the virus made us mini-Soviet.

When Nancy was going around Chinatown after he ordered the travel ban, and when The NY Times called that an overreaction, and when Biden said it was xenophobic...I laughted at them...glad the president took that strong response and saved lives

Over the last few days, I've had to ask Trump supporters over and over and over again to provide links proving their claims. Why is that? You all know how to use google, right? Please stop making me ask.

 

That is because they are "claims" that DON'T have links.

Just hearsay, pretty much.

For example, Everybody KNOWS that Trump called the Virus a "Hoax".

But, for some reason they never got the memo, etc.

 

That's a really long list.

For starters, he didn'r retain the services of most of the experts who had served as advisors on epidemics/pandemic including within his own NSC. At the least, he should have had Pence and the rest of the task force using the NSC's pandemic playbook beginning back in early January.

He shouldn't have said any of the following:

He should have ordered U.S. manufacturers to start making ventilators, respirators, masks, paper gowns, face shields, and any other equipment that our hospitals are running out of. He has the power, so why isn't he using it?

He shouldn't have created the current situation where states are bidding against each other to obtain those items, even bidding against the federal government. The administration should have immediately taken control of distribution and cost. It's in the playbook they chose to ignore.

He shouldn't be blaming states for not having excess supplies like he's been doing these last couple of days. This is a national emergency, and even though he was slow to declare that, once declared it frees up certain assets and stockpiles.

He should have ensured that all of the ventilators that were in emergency stockpiles actually worked. It seems that last summer, a maintenance contract expired and the situation has still not been resolved, making thousands of ventilators inoperative.

That's just for starters off the top of my head. If Obama had been this careless and incompetent, the right would be publicly calling him a murderer.

 

This video about Trump, posted on another thread in this forum, says it all. Not merely when it comes to his earlier posture and reaction to the Coronavirus, but more.

If Trump wasn't POTUS, but instead an actor playing the role of a buffoon who finds himself elected president, in some ways you might even find him endearing for his obvious faults and insecurities. But how on earth can someone like him have such a following as POTUS is one of those mysteries I guess I will never be smart enough to figure out!

If this person was just a foil for the real President (Mrs. Clinton), I don't know if I'd go endearing, but at least interesting or humorous...
