What's evident in the recent events is that the media and the Democrats have no appreciation for medical workers. They'd rather play the blame game and said Trump "downplayed" the coronavirus than publically acknowledge the incredible work that AMERICAN medical workers are doing. AMERICAN medical workers carried out more tests than any other nation due to TRUMP'S LEADERSHIP. The US and South Korea diagnosed the first case on the same day and to date AMERICAN doctors and nurses have tested and are monitoring 25x the number of patients as South Korea. Even adjusted for population, this is an incredible achievement. The US have tested and are monitoring more patients than Spain and Italy combined. AMERICAN doctors and nurses are working day and night to address this virus that no one anticipated. They are working 15-20 hour shifts and should be appreciated. AMERICAN doctors and nurses APPRECIATE the full SUPPORT THEY RECEIVED FROM PRESIDENT TRUMP who acted quickly to close the border with China. They've worked incredibly hard and should be appreciated. Any criticism of Trump is a criticism of the incredible men and women who worked so hard to battle this disease.
I thought that this would be an appreciation thread for medical workers. Turns out to be just another hail Trump and bash Democrats thread. With that said, the medical workers are the true heroes in this crisis.
I have four nieces working at the hospital here in town, one is top dog in the ER. They are kicking around the idea of making them live there until things calm down.. As it stands now, they have to shower and put on a new zoot suit (we call a paper overall) after every patient, they are all exhausted!!!
I think a lot of what you just said is nonsense. Trump did close the border with China. Then he did little else until March but did manage to publicly downplay the seriousness of the coming pandemic while he sat on his hands. He's not the only one who sat on his hands, most everyone else did too, but he is the most high profile. And I'm not sure what the basis is for your claims about how the American medical community feels about Trump other than a buttload of wishful thinking garnished with a healthy dollop of bias. I'm certainly not saying that none in that community feel that way, what I'm saying is you have literally no idea how they feel other than that they are under an unimaginable amount of stress right now. And as far as the amount of testing being done in the United States, it is not even disputed that the U.S. has lagged behind in testing. Where you got that part of your post from is a mystery.
This is truly tragic. Let's take three: 1. Media 2. Democrats 3. The president Of those three which one is in the best position to help the medical workers?
Per Capita we have not completed nearly as much testing as some other countries and we are taking FAR TOO LONG FOR PEOPLE TO GET THEIR RESULTS!!!!!And our testing is not picking up anywhere near 100% of those who are positive for the virus.
