    President Donald Trump has fired the intelligence community’s chief watchdog, Michael Atkinson, who was the first to alert Congress last September to an “urgent” complaint he’d received from an intelligence official involving Trump’s communications with Ukraine’s president.

    Atkinson's decision set in motion a bruising legal and political drama that consumed Washington for months, culminating in Trump's impeachment and ultimate acquittal.

    Trump is taking out his vindication (and bloodlust for revenge) in the middle of a Pandemic?

    Trump is really PETTY, and can't let anything slide.:smh:

    Atkinson was a well-known target on the Far-Right Hit List, and Trump is (obviously) playing to his Breitbart/Faux News Base.

    Trump’s dead of night decision to fire ICIG Michael Atkinson is another blatant attempt to gut the independence of the Intelligence Community and retaliate against those who dare to expose presidential wrongdoing. It puts our country and national security at even greater risk.

    I'd have to say that I agree with his assessment.

    Schiff’s opinion means nothing !
    He is the 1962 Mets vs Trumps 1927 Yanks.
    He is use to losing to Trump.

    So.......
    Why don’t Schiff release Atkinson’s 8 hours of testimony behind closed doors now that Atkinson is a non issue.?

    Why don’t Schiff try impeachment again?

    Schiff is more like the 1969 Mets against the 1969 Orioles.

    Trump is gutting the independence of any sort of "oversight".

    The American People are going to Resoundingly Reject Trump.

    7 Months From Now, Biden will be the President-Elect.

    Amazing it took this long for Prez. Snowflake to throw this tantrum.... Vindman didn't make it through Impeachment week.

    I'd say this action appears to be unhinged, but you normally have to be hinged first...

    It's not enough that nearly 10 million people have lost their jobs in 2 weeks... gotta add to those lists...

    Simply the worst president ever. I've always said it was going to be close between Andrew Johnson and Trump, but I think the eventual results will be clearly Trump... Should make him happy to be #1....

    Always enjoyable to wake up in the morning and read all the anger and bitterness from the lefties toward their president. Apparently none of them understand their president can fire anyone he chooses. He also can hire anyone he chooses.
    Understand this kids, President Trump does not need your approval to fire or hire anybody.

    At least Trump's actions did not hold up any responses to the pandemic, unlike Pelosi's wanting non-ID elections, freedom for illegals, semi-open borders, and tons of money to support abortion, the NEA and PBS.

    What's the cause/fake reason for this firing?

    Why didn't Trump do it when he did Vindman, back in Feb?

    Why now? Surely, Michael Atkinson cannot be uppermost on his "mind" at this time?

    i cannot wait to see the parade of the vindicated in 2021.... will stretch for many city blocks...

    Schiff claims that he is immune from releasing the call list surveillance information. He isn't, and he needs to resign as committee chairman immediately for his ethics violations.

    With rare exceptions, the President needs no reason to fire anyone. But you already knew it.

    Big difference between watchdogs and people bitter because they lost the election.
    You missed the part where I said the President can fire anybody at will. If you have a complaint with that take it up with our forefathers.
    As we have found out, there are a lot of trump haters buried in the administration. People with built in bias piss me off and good on Trump for cleaning them out. Many have been exposed over the last three years. This asshat being a great example.
