    Finally, a true statement during this time of peril . Too often his lies ruin any chance that we can have faith in him. But now he comes out and admits his screwups are his and the blame can't be passed on. Frankly I'm astonished.

    All he's saying is couldn't have done any better even if he'd had the support of the traitorous Adam Schiff and his co-conspirator Mistress Pelosi.

    I think you interpreted it 'backwards'. He's claiming despite impeachment the manner in which he handled everything was perfect just like it would have been had he not been impeached. Understanding trump is a difficult task.
