While I don't take polls for face value (they are normally based off a general consensus rounded up, and not necessarily scientific), if the polls are an actual indicator of anything, Biden would win Wisconsin, Michigan and Ohio. Within a five digit lead over Trump for each. Additionally, while not part of the Midwest, Biden would take Pennsylvania as well as North Carolina. So, that's five states in Biden's favor, a few turning over from having gone in favor of Trump in 2016. It's a stretch, and polls show within the margin of error, but lets say Biden takes Arizona The surrounding states: California, New Mexico, Colorado, have come out as Democratic.

So, even if Trump carries battlefield states like Iowa and Florida, which polling indicates he would, it still wouldn't be enough to give Trump a lead for reelection. To give a even better picture of a general election if it were held today, using the polling data and how states have historically voted, Biden would eat up most of the West, losing about half and winning the other half. He would carry most, if not all, of the northeast from Pennsylvania to Maine. He would carry Midwestern states I talked about in the first paragraph.

At this point, the country looks more blue than it was in 2016. Top that with double digit unemployment numbers we might be facing this fall, and that works against Trump after COVID-19 has killed off the last three years of economic results. Right now, we would see a Biden victory if the general were held today. Add Generation Z'rs that will be voting this fall, combined with millennial's, and that ties if not exceeds the population of Trump-supporting baby boomers that voted Trump in 2016.

Luckily for America the election is not today. Nobody is actually campaigning against Biden yet. Once America sees more of him that lead will vanish...

IF the Election were held today, Biden Would WIN PA, MI, and WI.

^That is Universally Accepted, and has been a Given for Ages (at this point)

WHEN the Election is held, Biden Will WIN PA, MI, and WI

    ^Another Accepted FACT.

Biden's been in hiding forever he's even afraid to duke it out with Crazy Uncle Bernie. No way they're not going to force him out and get a viable candidate in there.

I do not want to believe that the best America can offer is Trump vs. Biden.

Every time Biden gets let out of his room at the convalescent home he seems to forget where he is and what he is doing. Dems are in real trouble now that the spotlight is all on doofy uncle joe.

Right.... Today Biden enjoys the fact that virtually $0 has been spent campaigning against him. By early November he'll have been subjected to $1 - 2 billion onslaught of unflattering opposition research and negative campaigning, by early November his entire voting record, his dementia, creepiness, corruption, swampiness will have been scrutinized to the minute detail and exposed to the American public non-stop, 24/7 for weeks and months.

His tiny (if not imaginary) lead in the Midwest will evaporate as soon as Trump/Republicans start defining him in earnest, he'll be totally damaged goods by the end of the summer. So... enjoy his "lead" while it lasts, we'll enjoy your libs' 2020 version of "Hillary in a landslide" delusional dreams :D

Again, what sources can you list that would point to medical records confirming Biden is suffering from an onset of dementia?

Otherwise its a childish attack that doesn't stick.

That's difficult to imagine. These states are all in the Rust Belt region. Did the Rust Belt suddenly turn on Trump?
Is Biden touting some great turnaround on national trade policies that will benefit America's manufacturing? I don't think so.

No conservative here has been able to provide any sources providing proof Biden has been diagnosed with dementia, until that can be done the accusation doesn't hold water. And you don't think Trump is creepy? A tall, sweaty fat man who has said he would date his daughter if she wasn't his daughter? That btw, is decades younger than him. I could go into how the Trump Admin has proven to be corrupt, including Rudy's travels to Ukraine, but such truth serum is failing to have any effect.

Red flags are raised when Republicans don't want to do mail-in ballots, or absentee ballots. Something smells as fishy about that as when Republicans got caught red-handed gerrymandering in Pennsylvania. We know so much more about misinformation campaigns that we didn't know about in 2016. I've also looked at Biden's voting record, it isn't as gloom and doom as the right makes it look. In fact, the amount of yeh's on criminal justice to kitchen table issues is comforting.

It could be the American people are fatigued from the brash and unhinged personality they liked in 2016. 2018's election results would suggest that, including a changing climate in Arizona of all places.

I come from a blue collar, manufacturing town and I say we should be focusing on how people can work with or on AI, or robots, performing the manufacturing over doing the work themselves. I've never understood the urge to resurrect the manufacturing dinosaur when robotics are a multi-billion industry and save companies millions on overhead.

While robotics might be cheaper for the company, in a certain situation, I think it is also important to look at where the money for those robotics goes.

It could be cheaper for the society to pay people to do something, if it means those people would otherwise be jobless.
Even if it requires paying them slightly more than the cost of a robot.

I'm just pointing out that as a possibility to consider.

That being said, I strongly question how much robotics and automation is actually responsible for the disappearance of manufacturing jobs, and how much is due to outsourcing to other countries. It could be that robotics is just a distract from the truth (that is, what you would call a red herring).

Exactly... that's what $1-2 billion of campaign money will be spent on (among other things), non-stop 24/7 ads showing countless instances of Biden not having the slightest idea where he is and why he is there, who he is, what he is talking about and what did or did not happen in his life. LOL, That'll be up to the American voters to decide whether he has dementia or not, or more importantly whether he has the presence of mind to finish a sentence or order a pizza, let alone lead the world.

It's not that you could, that's what you and your Trump-hating leftist ilk and MSM (but I repeat myself) have spent the last 5 years doing. And now you are out of ammo, whatever you could possibly throw at Trump you already have, you can regurgitate the same old garbage about Trump expecting a different result but it will all be old boring news.

Biden on the other hand is such a juicy target and no one has ever taken him to task yet. Trump campaign and the Republican smear machine with billions of dollars at their disposal will completely and irreversibly destroy him before the end of August. We'll see then whether Biden's tiny lead in the polls will hold. I am surely not betting on it :D

Biden benefits most from the fact that 55% of Americans have been dissatisfied with Trump... for the past three and a half years.

Republicans are indeed going to need a lot of money.

Especially because Bloomberg has decided to give at least a billion dollars to the Democrats to fight Trump.

Spending $1-2 billion on a montage of clips to give the impression someone has dementia, instead of delivering actual, documented evidence someone has dementia seems like a fat waste of money to me. Its not hating on Trump to use what he has said himself against him.
