If we go back to the earliest maps(Like Late Feburary), we had 3 States at the top: California, Washington and NY. We could've done MINIMAL economic damage if we quarantined these 3 States.(and we could have moderately observed the other States.) For as much as I hate this Soviet Union-style of living, we can't deny California/Washington's success because they got on it early. You quarantine hot spots.

New York just SAT THERE, for weeks. And it swelled, it swelled and it continued to swell. Now it's in its own bastion of fire and for as much as Trump may have said stupid things and didn't declare the national emergency security quick enough, the sheer incompetence of New York was demonstrated to this entire forum and server.

If you had a better governor/mayor, you're less sick today. Blaming Trump in this specific issue is a copout. As a progressive living in NY, is the progressive leadership YOU elected capable? Is this a standard, you want to accept?

And I'm not saying replace it with a conservative per se. I'm saying: Replace it with ANYTHING ELSE. They let you down. And as a voter in your own State, you can let them know that.

 

Spain is at 355 deaths per million today. To reach that rate, the US would need to have 108,000 deaths. Current projections (which are frequently revised downward) forecast 60,000 deaths.

I suppose you can hope the projections are way too low so you can own Trump, but that seems cold blooded, even for a Democrat.

My math is correct. Per capita today is 60. 60x4 = 240. Spain and Italy are both well over 300. I was mistaken about France with is 200 today, but Belgium is over 300.
