Give me a break the press loves Cuomo the don't ask him hard questions, they don't lie about what the says, he says the same thing the president does and they think he is the greatest thing on earth. Did they challenge him he wanted to take the national guard to take respirators from upstate hospitals as he is transporting cases from NYC to those very same upstate hospitals? did they question him about releasing prisoners back into the public becasue they where worried that prisons might have cases. With the release of prisoners there has been a uptick of crime did they ask about that?
Did they ask about the huge pay raise he just got instead of buying supplies that he was told years earlier where going to be needed, also about the state being broke yet can still have that big pay raise. Did they ask why so may votes are taking place in the middle of the night that gives him more power with no public debate?

Of course not, but don't think for a minute that the virus didn't make it through that quarantine. Was there follow-up with any of those 40,000 people? Nope. Did all 40,000 go into quarantine, or just those with symptoms? I don't know. Do you?

And the couple hundred Americans who were on the Diamond Princess in Yokohama were also brought home, all on the same plane in spite of the fact that at least 14 of them positively had the virus. Did the virus not make it out of their quarantine? I don't know. Do you?

My point is that many people who should have known better have said and done some stupid **** during this fiasco, and we can trade whataboutisms all night, but my bottom line is that incompetence rolls down from the top. Trump is the president; he owns this, he's been screwing it up, and he will likely continue to do so.

Actually, they did. Trump refused to issue a nationwide stay at home order, so governors both Dem and GOP made those decisions themselves long before Trump's first set of "guidelines" was issued.

The media doesn't make people abhor Trump. He does that himself.

I didn't even know she'd said that until recently. Did she ever acknowledge her mistake? That is something Trump never does.

I'm not denying that she said something stupid, so how am I giving her a pass? What would satisfy you as a proper reaction? Should I have a hissy fit and shout "lock her up!"? Were you expecting that it would somehow convert me into a Trump supporter or what?

 

And it is fitting and proper that the Governors do so. Trump has no authority to issue "stay at home orders," just as he has no authority to lift such orders.

Of course the media make people abhor Trump or at least they are doing their level best in that regard. Democrats and their masters in the media don't seem all that interested in addressing this plague. They attach irrelevant legislation to stimulus bills. They are doing all they can to drive a wedge between Fauci and Trump. They propose to launch investigations before this thing is over. For better or worse, Trump is in charge. It serves only narrow partisan interests to undermine the President's authority.

The country ought to unite before a common enemy. What are Democrats doing to promote this unity?
