Covid MUCH worse than flu in New York

The data is clear as day: Covid-19 has killed many more people in New York than Influenza.

In 2017, Influenza and Pneumonia killed 4,517 people. That's for the whole year.

For 2.5 months in New York, Covid-19 has killed 15,300 people.

that's 3x the death toll of Influenza/Pneumonia, and we aren't even done counting the dead for this season.

So go ahead tell yourself Covid is no worse than Flu. Ignore reality.

Actually Ron you would first have to find out how many really died from the Chinese Virus. Not heart attacks, diabetes, obesity, or any other pre-existing conditions. Then you really have a handle on how many deaths the Chinese caused.
I am pretty sure that just before the election many will find another crisis to manufacture.

He has a point. If without the virus this person dies of a heart attack then it's classified as heart attack death. But this person has heart attack and Covid, now it's no longer a heart attack, it's Covid.

Read it yesterday, that regardless of other causes/ complications, fluhan virus is listed as the cause of death,....
'n the state collects a fat check from the feds for fluhan deaths, insteada payin' for other deaths,....

 

Let us know if you can find a remotely reliable source for your claims. And of course if the disease is a contributing factor it is going to be counted. That's how we usually do it. Pretending this is no different from the season flu is not only delusional, it is bat **** insane . . . and dangerously so.

 

If people died from COVID-19, then people died from COVID-19, this is the weirdest thing people have been arguing about. The disease is deadly, what it's 1% of people die from the disease? That's kinda a serious number. It's not a big number like the Bubonic plaque's 33% of people in Europe but 1% is still a lot of people to lose.

That's like saying there are next to no deaths from AIDS, because people died from the common cold who also just happened to have AIDS.

 

Actually it is accurate. There was an article about NYC doing just that sometime last week. I think it was even a topic on this forums system.

 

Talk to us when you can demonstrate that the deaths from this disease are calculated differently from any other. None of us are holding our breath.
