Things could be worse. You could be like a certain lawmaker and have a freezer full of ice cream to eat. Think of all the weight you would gain.

I do. Dolce de Leche is a particular weakness. To keep myself in check, I buy the single serving size, the tiny ones. Because the pint size would also be a single serving size if I wasn't paying close attention.

Yeah, me too. Last time I found my brand in chocolate all they had were quarts. Took a lot of self discipline to make it last awhile! I try to keep a supply of Blue Bell popsicles on hand. Less calories and no dairy. The banana ones are my favs. :)

I doubt that Jeni's Splendid is even a bit better at $13/pint.
Dolce de Leche is crack ice cream. Very hard to stop once you start.

    Now way Jose!
I will probably have to trample a few Scandinavian H-D delivery elves to get mine.
Correction: $10/3pints. May not have to fight quite as hard for it.
Still beats the hell out of $39/3 pints of Jeni's Splendid.

I can't find a cookbook for English food in Japanese. I was inspired by this book I was reading

    20200425_070034-1.jpg
    Japanese Cooking

and thought, I wonder if Japan have any English cookbooks on the market as if not I'm tempted to translate how to cook a fry up/full English breakfast and English teas (Earl Grey for your milkless) and things into Japanese and find a Japanese publisher for this cookbook.

**Fish & Chips, I bet they'd love that, mushy peas too ...

    I've found this
    https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=zp8xCJbul4QC&pg=PA110&lpg=PA110&dq=英語料理+book&source=bl&ots=4TuSx7LWKC&sig=ACfU3U173A5wvRtAz16ME_gKHBmj671S1w&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwie_uOM94LpAhWAShUIHVqdBwAQ6AEwBHoECAQQAQ#v=onepage&q=英語料理 book&f=false
but I think my book'll be better.

Got two half gallons of Blue Bell...which is great. I will admit when Publix has the two fers I will indulge in Haggen Daz. Does anyone remember frusen glädjé? That was also great ice cream.

Well, except when Blue Bell comes out with Peach Cobbler/Homemade Vanilla. Then I'll buy it even when it's not on sale! ;)

Since the bar is back to being non-political (sort of) here’s my 3 cents* worth.

I don’t eat a lot of ice cream but a few years ago I started buying Blue Bunny, mainly because I worked with a guy from Le Mars, Iowa, where it’s made. He was always bragging about it so I thought I would give it a try. It’s pretty good in my non-expert opinion. And it’s owned by a family rather than some big corporation. Buy some. You might like it.

    * Adjusted for inflation.
