Let's chat about the atheist religion II

You stated that "I do not know" is based on faith, I asked you a very simple question, "how is "I do not know" based on faith?" It was a simple question and absolutely key to understanding atheism. Are there gods? I do not know. Now pages on and you have accused me of all sorts of things, none of which did I do but you refuse to answer the simple question. If that is not deflection, I do not know what is.

 

Stomping your feet and posting "FALLACY" as if that changes facts may make you feel good, but it does not make it true. You and I realize that I'm not wrong. We realize that you have a reading comprehension problem. And we know that if I respond to you in the spirit by which you attack me, my posts will be deleted. You cannot sustain an honest "debate" and the cards are stacked here.

 

There was a thread of the same name as mine. I wanted to ask something along the same lines, but different so I put II at the end of the topic to differentiate it. Here we are 162 posts into the topic and less than a dozen on topic posts. So, I'm going to repeat the OP:

I saw the other thread; was annoyed that in my introduction thread here, atheists were trying to get me into a debate, so I have some issues of my own.

Atheists pretend that they're all about not having Christianity forced down their throat when they are trying to force their non-belief on us by interjecting it into irrelevant threads. It got me to wondering.

After many years, I do not recall the faction of atheists that have started or even participated in any threads where they took Muslims to task. And now there IS a religion that teaches Muslims to kill or convert people.

Additionally people proclaim that they are atheists, but get really defensive about being equated to secular humanists AND trying to imply that anyone linking secular humanism to the general policies of the U.S. government are "conspiracy theorists" when public policy IS consistent with secular humanism.

The people claiming to be atheists seem to be more about squelching Christians than having equality with all religions. Fact is, I'm only familiar with those threads wherein atheists want to bust the chops of Christians... Never Jews, never Muslims and not even with secular humanists (of which many atheists claim are not one and the same.) Anyone else ever notice that?

NOTE: As an observation point, I doubt that Christians or believers have accessed this thread save of maybe two or three that have had anything to say here. So, all those replies, the lack of responses that pertain to the questions asked confirms for me many things. Since atheists cannot stay on topic and have a civil conversation about the topic at hand, they either don't understand their own theories OR they understand them, but want to reject Christianity as they may have chosen Satanism and have found atheists to be of like mind in their war against Christianity. Put another way, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

I haven't been "debating" anyone and I fail to see anything that is not factual in my post. You point it out and I'll be glad to offer you a retraction.

 

What we all know is you are dodging the argument and going after the poster in reply to many different posters, its sad.

 

Hardly surprising since Atheists do not equate to secular humanists, for a start I believe in an eye for and eye, do not think that is in line with secular humanism!

With regards to the US government I have no idea whether that is true since I do not live there but I think you are confusing secular with secular humanist.

 

Hillman, It is irrelevant. I'm not going to address off topic matter in this thread. That is not a deflection. That's called not allowing you to hijack my thread. It's a separate discussion. What YOU'RE doing is a deflection. By virtue of who is in charge, I realize my position on this board. But, you are very dishonest and insecure. And I can't fight with both hands tied behind my back.

BTW, I know the difference between secular and secular humanism. Secular Humanism has a Manifesto... which coincides with "public policy" within the government. THAT is why you cannot afford to have your religion challenged.

First and foremost, what the mods value is the trappings of civility; so without knowing who said what, my guess is they're just better at feigning civility than you are.

I've been responding to the atheists in the same spirit that I'm being addressed in. It's hard to be civil to people that want to derail the thread, then cry foul. The amount of projection here is astonishing. Atheists are accusing me of what they are doing. But, I digress.

When atheists denigrate Christians with that "your imaginary friend" are offended by a response that they dabble in dumbassery, then you know something is amiss. Be that as it may, I would fight to the death for their Right to say things like that while they are doing what they can to censor me. The fact that atheists initiate a whizzing contest with that "imaginary friend" insult is only indicative of their hidden fears. God may actually exist. The atheists cannot allow that to happen. So, they go for the emotional response. Having gotten that, they cry to the mods that you replied in the same spirit. And then the believer is censored and the atheists claim a hollow victory. They get to "win" without an actual "debate." What a world!

Of all the gods in all the religions on the face of the earth, only ONE God strikes fear into the hearts of atheists. They fret over what believers put their faith in and they intend to convert us or have us ostracized, castigated, and made the brunt of bad jokes in an effort to hide the fact that they are scared. I get it and the more they try to change the subject, the more that I will do what I can to make sure their lies are fully dealt with.

 

Or you simply can't handle the arguments so just deflect endlessly, if you had spent half the time on just debating rather than spending all your time calling fowl perhaps you would not feel so hard done by.

 

And once again I will point out that I live in the UK and the Head of State is the Head of the Church!

Exactly but there are atheists on this board from all over the world and yet you still say we have a political axe to grind, it devalues your argument.

 

I was not happily doing anything. It's absolutely frustrating that you keep being reminded of what this thread is about. I try to humor you, hoping you will have the same degree of respect that once I've answered ONE question, you will get back on point. Instead you treat me like an idiot and keep trying to derail the thread. If I don't go along with the hijacking, you guys have the mods. You're scared and you are dishonest.

 

If you didn't have a political ax to grind, you wouldn't care what a believer has faith in. I considered it an insult when someone denigrated me personally with that "imaginary friend" comment. When I respond in the same spirit, it is a violation of the rules. So, if I "debated" you on matters of facts, I'd probably be hogtied when you had to be shown that your opinion does not necessarily constitute the truth or the facts. I am not going to get into it with you when you have that kind of advantage. If you have any decency, you will respect that and move on. If you don't, you can always start another argument. I mean, why respect my wishes to stick to the topic at hand? Right? Christians should be drawn and quartered for their heresy. Right? You can hate me all you like and show as much intolerance as you can, but it will not, under any circumstances make you right. It's only proof that you're scared. IF anyone is out there and their mind is not made up, they would be turned off by your bullying - ESPECIALLY when it is a one way exchange.

No I made the comment about the imaginary friend to Distaff I did not denigrate you personally, you imagined it. Not one of the many insulting posts you have made to me have been deleted because I have not reported one of your flagrant rule violations. Again I have no advantage you imagine that as well or are confused. I have shown no hate towards you, you imagined that. I have written nothing which could in any way be taken as being intolerant towards you, again you have imagined it. You have suggested I am scared when you can have no idea what my emotional state is by a few posts on the internet, again you have imagined it. So please drop the accusation of bullying because as I have written everything can be shown on this thread and people can judge who is attempting to bully who very easily.
