When window shopping for islands, I got to know the price of islands.
When I glanced at double yachts and a big ISA yacht (Italian brand of luxury yatch I very quickly found out about), I soon learned that there are many types of yatch and they cost more than islands I've seen for sale.

I'd like to pay the Russians for a trip to the International Space Station. IIRC they used to charge 20-30 million. It would be worth it.

Of course at one time the Russians were going to over a trip around the moon with two cosmonauts for 120 million. If that ever becomes available then that would be worth it to me. I would even learn to speak Russian (as was required for the orbital trips).

and Johnny Depp.Who was that Billionaire that Invited Obama
to visit him on his Island a couple years ago.
    Branson er somethin'.

Sir Richard Branson owns one (that Obama and his family vacationed at as soon as he left The White House - guess he really likes private islands) and, when looking at this Island in the Bahamas, it boasted that magician David Copperfield owned the 2 next to it.
That's all I know of who own islands.

If I had an island and my money/character was good, I'd invite the Obamas to use it, and the Trumps, I really wouldn't care on politics and just let it be an option, when I'm not on it. lol
And The French President/Macron... I mean, this Island I want is in French Polynesia, so, I figure they speak French there.

But that would Not be fun.Hardly any piece of cake.
An Astronaut actually has to endure a lot of pain and
discomfort while training to go into flight.Worse than a
    fighter pilot and G-forces.
Or what about the prospect as shown in the Twilight Zone episode "
    - Where Is Everybody - { Oct. 1959 } where a man wearing a flight jump
suit finds himself in a strange Town and there is nobody around. Not a soul.
We find out he went batty. That actually it was all a dream.Induced on
account he was being tested for possible space flight.Which requires
    the body to acclimated to a small space { Like in a rocket ship }
and No companionship for long periods.
Earl Holliman stars as an Air Force recruit for space. He finds
himself all alone in a small town with no other humans around.yet,
he has this constant feeling he's being watched.
It's because he was under many hours of confinement inside
a space capsule to test his endurance and find out his breaking point.
The generals concluded ... " You see we can feed the stomach with
concentrates. We can supply microfilm for reading -- recreation, even movies
of a sort.We can pump Oxygen in and waste material out.But there's
one thing we can't simulate that's a very basic need.Man's hunger for
companionship. The barrier of Lonliness -- that's one thing we haven't
    licked yet. "

If I wanted fun I'd simply buy books. But all the books I want would only cost a few thousand dollars.

Or you could Pull a Brando.Marlon Brando Loved Tahiti almost
as soon as he set foot on.Loved those kind of shapely, pure tanned
natives who had not a care in the world and had plenty of comforting
sexuality.I think there was a time,Brando was treated as if a King every time
he visited Tahiti. He got to know Tahiti while shooting :
    - Mutiny on the Bounty - { 1962 } as Fletcher Christian.
I became a Movie buff around halfway thru watching my all time
Favorite Movie - On the Waterfront - { 1954 } winner of 8 academy awards.
Plus Brando became one of my Hero's.
So too was Bill Cosby when I was in high school.Due to his
    popular TV series - The Bill Cosby Show - { 1969-1971 }
His combination of taking a keen interest in the students as their
Gym Teacher and his unique comedy made my day.
He was Funny,Cool, and very Fatherly.A True High school mentor
    for all.

    https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/163-Halsey-St-Brooklyn-NY-11216/30610418_zpid/
I'd buy this house in Brooklyn and paint it the same colour as my actual house in Thornton Heath and no one should be the wiser and I'd have this as a place in New York City, in Brooklyn.
I mean, if I could picture myself having multiple homes in the same cities (here and across the world), I would buy this, this would be mine, and I'd be happy enough with it.
This was a pot luck random highlight of a property in a map of red for sale dots
    https://www.zillow.com/homes/Bedford-Stuyvesant,-New-York,-NY_rb/
with prices for all prices and this wasn't the most expensive but was the first one I saw and it already reminds me of what I have and what I want in Brooklyn, so with everything, I'd add this too.
£1,475,208 for this in Bed Stuy, the neighborhood I searched.

I'd even fly an England football team flag out of a window since it's the 'Hood so I'd get my kicks/thrills/enjoyment out of celebrating my own diversity and I want this to remind me of my house in England with the same paint (or best available match).

I'd probably fly other flags too like a flag of Brooklyn or NY State's Flag or the US Flag too, like, anything local and for my fun I'd fly with pride, but, also, the England football team flag sporting the logo and the name and everything so there'd be no confusion lol; that flag, this house 'dolled up'/painted like the one I have in England, it'll look sweet.

I'd buy this just for this house in Bed Stuy
    [IMG]
and have it registered to me at that address.
This car for this property, is as random as I'd get with this house I'd have painted to match the actual one I have in England flying an England flag (the actual England football team flag) out of the window in some gentrified neighborhood / Bed Stuy playing loud music annoying or entertaining the locals.
Old school British Racing Green Jaguar XJ6
$13k for sale in Atlanta, GA.

I'd be that British guy with the loud music (like actual guitar playing music) who drives this old Jag' around Brooklyn/NYC.

I'd also have other places in Manhattan's Lower East Side and Upper West Side.

That'll probably be it for NYC for me, 3 places, but this place in Bed Stuy, I'd have.

    I dunno.There was a really good Spencer Tracy movie { played a Priest }
with Frank Sinatra that was in the Hawaiian Islands and was
the most costly Movie Columbia ever made.
    - The Devil at 4 O'Clock - { 1961 } which the Director Mervyn Leroy
considered { Lahaina } one of the most beautiful places on earth.
Katharine Hepburn { Tracy's Platonic Partner } accompanied Spencer
to the Island and when handed a book on the History of the Island
tossed it into the ocean mumbling something about Who wants to
know anything about this awful place.

There's a lot of Buildings like that in Downtown Louisville.
Very expensive and have to be remodeled. They go for around
    $ 400,ooo to $ 900,ooo before Remodeling.Somehow trendies
manage to get mortgages on.I can't stand the architecture inside of those
style dwellings. They have high ceilings and small rooms. You can tell from
the windows on the outside.Just think it over.Sitting in one of those front
rooms. Not enough room to even fit a good size couch.

Again, high ceilings and small rooms describes my house in England, and also; the front of this find is the same shape, just this one in Bed Stuy is bigger with extra floors.
Still, looks like mine enough in shape to warrant a matching paint job lol.

There's this fancy piece of Victorian Architecture in the neighbourhood I was born (Upper Norwood/Crystal Palace) and the only reason why it's not in this thread is because it's got a damn space ship in it, no lie.

    https://www.yourlocalguardian.co.uk...the-attic-knocks-250k-off-its-325m-price-tag/

I mean, other than that space ship inside, it looks neat.

This was a deal breaker, for me.

I'd like to make that modest house the best for movie nights.

    I'd buy this
    [IMG]
    https://www.webstaurantstore.com/paragon-1108150-rent-a-pop-8-oz-popcorn-popper-120v/3801108150.html
    $529.00

    x 2

I'd mount them to the walls and have one in the main room and one in the bedroom.

I'd have cable, and whatever new fancy Xboxes too so I could watch my content I bought on my Xbox in England from the Microsoft Store.

    and I'd have
    https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-r...080-1-536tb-ssd-black/6393905.p?skuId=6393905
    [IMG]
and hook it up to whatever TV in the room I'm in (living room/bed room)
and stream/download and binge watch to my heart's content.

And I'd have black out blinds too, as well as a fully stocked pantry and fridge freezer (it comes with one) and fast food delivered.
If this house hasn't got propane, I'd have propane installed (this applies to every property be it whatever / where ever even if I have to ship it in to that island in Tahiti, I'm cooking with gas/propane).

With a custom/high end sofa for this home theater in the living room from
    http://www.fortresseating.com/

and a bed with a firm mattress (better for love making, a hard bed)

I plan to do a lot of watching TV / movies and adult entertainment on the sofa.

With everything I'd buy where I'd buy, I'd have a

Silver Jubilee Marshall Stack and a good Gibson Les Paul with everything I like on a Les Paul too.
    https://www.normansrareguitars.com/...paul-1959-reissue-signed-by-les-paul/27396570
nothing too crazy, a modest high end Gibson Les Paul.

    For this house in Oregon.
I mean, I don't see anything wrong with giving it a theme of best movie nights/entertainment for me (lotta strip clubs in the area, I'm thinking I'd bring a lot of local ladies here if I don't seduce a stripper).
And I'd plant red scented roses (like the kind we have in England) in the front garden, as I like big red rose bushes, and I'd have the flowers that are there dug up to replace the bushes above with these rose bushes I like/think look cool.
    with this outside

I'd buy this to hang out the window of that house in Bed Stuy with that old Jaguar XJ6 parked outside.

(and I'd have the same guitar amp and guitar I like).

I'd probably have more guitars here though and make this more of a musician's place / with a paint job to match my actual house in England I'm in now/would retain and have in Thornton Heath.

Probably would/probably wouldn't do the rose bush thing as I don't mind what it's got already, tbh.

I'd probably have a home bar here too.
Something super cool, like this, built to fit in this place in Brooklyn.

I'd have my own music station on UK TV, available on Freeview, VirginMedia, Sky and Freesat, to make it available to pretty much anyone with a TV in the UK.
    I'd have it broadcasting out of;
    https://www.realla.co.uk/details/16660428
    In The Trocadero

TBH, if I could/did this, I wouldn't be the first TV network to use this place either, random, but, I remember a time when I was a child when Nickelodeon started here when they came to the UK.

My TV network would, broadcast only and solely music I like/love.

So a lot of Guns N' Roses videos.
    And...
I'd repeat at to a nauseous degree
    Guns N' Roses 1992 Tokyo
    Guns N' Roses 1992 Paris
Guns N' Roses St. Louis Riot Concert (I'd make my graveyard / middle of the night 5 am TV).
and Obscure Guns N' Roses documentaries I like, I'd broadcast.

Thrown in with some other bands/songs/genre I like for good measure.
Movies that are musical like Help! and Hair and one in a while, that Spice Girls show from Turkey I'd show.

I guess I'd have some TV shows I like, from the 1990s, but it'll mainly be music videos and performances I like; so I could have a channel on TV where no matter when I tune in, I'd love what's on.
I'd make it for an audience of 1 (me) but make it available to as many people here as I can.
I'd celebrate things to shake it up like random anniversaries as an excuse to play other artists works and repeat them.

I'd do this all in the hope to give kids a choice to listen to what I like lol, and to pay royalties so I'd be giving something back to the music I like.

Then I'd probably try and clone this and base it out of Eugene or Springfield, Oregon (just for my own amusement/attempt to put it on the map) and have a bigger place with a live stage and try and book artists to play there like Guns N' Roses to do a live set out of Oregon in this TV studio for my American /coast to coast broadcasting version of this, and then I'd broadcast that Oregon live set in the UK too but that studio in The Trocadero isn't big enough to have a stage, could barely fit a couch in it with all that equipment needed.

Okay, I'd broadcast in America and build a garage band themed stage for A list musicians to record a live set on (that I'd then repeat from time to time) out of this place.
    It's an autoshop I'd convert into a TV station/studio.
    Why?

    Location, location, location.

It'll be near my place (that holiday home with all the kick ass TVs and stuff) since it's actually on the one street I wanted, and, it'll aim to attract famous musicians to Springfield.
It'll be a little cozy but should suffice with stage area for live sets too.

Even though it'll predominantly be for music I like, I'd show the odd TV show or movie.

Like, very limited selection but still I'd show them.

The TV shows I'd at least start with would be 2 episodes a day of Everybody Hates Chris (as I'm binge watching this for the first time at and I get 2 episodes a day and this TV station here has been showing them in order and I'm now on season 4)
    And
    My Name Is Earl
As I binged watched this last year (as it was something I got around to watching too), I'd show 1 episode of this a day (so it'll be 2 hours of TV from Everybody Hates Chris to My Name Is Earl).
I'd throw in Futurama from time to time too, why not I guess.
    Have this on too somewhere.

Movies, would be movies I like and would be at most 2 movies a day.

The rest would be music (I like) (and only music I like) since it'll be a music station that has the odd TV show and non music related movie (that I like).

    I Have a Chet Atkins CD that has songs { Mostly instrumental guitar Picking }
that are the cleanest sounding guitar recordings I ever heard.
I don't know if he was using a Les Paul or a Gretsch.Or what kind of
guitar amp.But he was a master at Recording and Guitar influence and
builds. Was a true Country Guitar gentleman.I had a mock Les Paul years
ago I got at a Pawn Shop. The problem was I dint have a guitar amp at the time.
I was left using the wall { Put the neck/head against } for volumn.

I know myself, and I know what guitars and guitar parts I already like.
Fun fact, that Gibson Les Paul there, I already have one in that range, so I'd know what to do to turn that Gibson into one suited for yours truly with the after market parts I like on them.
I know what guitar stuff I'd buy for my properties; pretty much.
Remember, it'll be my house so it'll have the things I want inside.
