Jesse Jackson Jr...got a sweet heart deal for nearly a million dollars of campaign fraud....that involved his entire family.

William Jeffersons case was investigated under the Bush Admin, he ended up being tried right after Obama took office...but by then he had lost his seat to a Republican and the evidence collected by the Bush admin was overwhelming

You’re too experienced and knowledgeable to believe that.

This sort of thing has been going on in DC for a long, long time.

In any event, if Burr resigns, the Dem. Gov. has to appoint a Republican to fill his seat.

Flynn lied. He talked about the Sanctions with the Ambassador and then said he didn't when they knew he did. Then he resigned his post. He also accepted 45k for the dinner where he sat next to Putin even though he skipped the necessary clearance necessary to accept money from a Foreign Govt without issue. Then he admitted to it and pled guilty.

As for Russia; they confirmed how and to what extend that they do (funny how nobody on the right seems to want to do anything to stop them, while acknowledging that they are).

Stone was simply a victim of his own stupidity and inability to ****

Manafort is a political operative with decades of shady BS that should have had him in prison for the rest of his life multiple times over.

And the issue is not that someone requested an unmasking (nice strawman), but that someone leaked said unmasking to the media.

The list is a reasonable thing to use as a starting off point of an investigation. But I guess leaking the unmasking details and leaking a list of individuals from the previous admin with zero evidence they were the leakers are completely different.

As I posted and the first threads when this broke out I met with my broker about that time and we discussed and went over my distributions.

He did not recall details of that part of the conversation that was perfectly normal for a man in his position nor was he read his writes or even told he was being interviewed in a formal manner.. He had no lawyer present.
What was the purpose of the Dinner?

Yes omg they posted in Facebook! Have you? Should you go to jail for it?

Stone's crime was being not liked by people in power.. I'm sure you are fine with that.

Well yes and no... Requesting or actually unmasking when you have no right or authority to is an issue... Yes leaking it to the media is a crime and it just happened the same day Biden either unmasked Flynn or requested it neither of which is in his purview as VP so he has some splainin to do....

What do you mean they had zero evidence? Do you even know what DNI stands for? Do you know what documents were released?

    Just stop man...

And if the FBI treated her like they are Burr the left would have accused the Trump admin of everything under the book.

When Corrupt Office Holders are held to account, it is a win for the American People.

RICHARD BURR STEPS DOWN AS SENATE INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN AMID INSIDER TRADING INVESTIGATION.

    Looks Ugly:

The Justice Department is investigating whether Burr, 64, improperly used information he learned through daily briefings in his role leading the committee to inform his trading decisions earlier this year. The North Carolina senator offloaded up to $1.7 million in stocks right before the coronavirus pandemic led to a stock market plummet.

Like All of us, he has a right to explain:

The Republican senator has maintained that he did nothing wrong and asked for the Senate Ethics Committee to conduct a full investigation into the allegations in March. Burr said in a statement after the controversy began that he "relied solely on public news reports" in his decision to sell a large percentage of his portfolio in 33 separate transactions.

It will be interesting to see if this claim holds up:

"Sen. Burr filed a financial disclosure form for personal transactions made several weeks before the U.S. and financial markets showed signs of volatility due to the growing coronavirus outbreak," a spokesperson for the lawmaker told the Washington Examiner at the time.

Stepping down as Chair while they confirm this is the right move in my book.

That's North Carolina vinegar based BBQ sauce you smell...

Just heard that news... A little shocking... he was the only Senate committee head worth my spit...

Not sure who will replace him... If Wiki has the members in seniority order and McConnell follows that, Risch of Idaho??

    Dunno...

    Hmmm...

    Good question.

    Most likely a Trump sycophant.

Wait till they connect the pandemic to Obama, because you just know eventually they will have to find a way toblame that on Obama too.

You forgot to mention they're also looking at Feinstein, who did the same thing.

Barr must have approved this, I thought he was just a GOP toady?

So he didn't talk to the Ambassador and didn't reveal the sanctions?

He is allowed to engage with the ambassadors and have you seen the transcript about what was discussed? He could literally discuss anything he wanted though. Obama had no right to spy on him or the transition team.

Have you? Evidently this could all go away with the release of the transcript. Another instance where Trump and Co could clear the air and yet chooses not too. Funny that.

    And yes they did.

No. But Flynn can discuss anything he wants with incoming Ambassadors, even sanctions and other things that the new Administration is thinking about. It's called Diplomacy and it's actively encouraged.

And again, the issue is less about what he discussed, but that he lied about it (and then resigned when it came to light).

The FBI didn't think he lied. Where is the original 302 and why was a copy of it edited? Flynn was set up and now the charges have been dropped.
