Trump's better than Biden, when judged by any relevant criterion.

That said, there's a lot about Trump I don't like, and because of his constant hell-raising and bullying about interest rates for the past 18 months, he's cost me -- personally -- thousands of dollars, because of crushed interest rates on savings accounts! Trump is the ultimate shill for a grotesquely overvalued, 'fraud-balloon' stock market, and now everyone can see exactly what the REAL worth of all these way-over-leveraged corporations amounts to! They're desperately dependent on LIFE-SUPPORT from a central bank, constantly 'bailing them out' with IMAGINARY MONEY, and loans at zero-percent interest. This was true even last September, with the "Repo Crisis"... remember? And that was months before all this latest 'virus' shock wave....

So, I sound like a Biden supporter... right? No, as bad as Trump is, Biden would be even an order-of-magnitude worse! Biden is wholly corrupt -- AND -- senile beyond any possible beneficial use. He needs to go home, and drool in a corner, while sitting in a rocking chair.

Who would I want for president? An impossible synthesis of Ronald Reagan AND John F. Kennedy. Obviously, that ain't gonna happen... so, it's Trump, and on down the hill we slowly go....

That's fine if you live in a solidly blue state or a solidly red state where the outcome is not in question. But if you live in a battleground state where the outcome could go either way, you should vote for Trump if you think he's better than Biden.

Biden is most assuredly not (NOT) my "own best interest"... or that of the United States, either.

Biden would be "Obama 2.0" -- an utter, unmitigated disaster!

Of course you'll vote your conscience. But I would remind you that this is a political forum, and we give opinions here and discuss them. I am responding to your post. Do you want to talk about it some, or just blow me off?

But that's the real tragedy of the whole thing -- in reality (REALITY) we have a choice of Trump, or, Biden. That's it... that's all.

Between those two, I'll hold my nose and vote for Trump. I may not like Trump or many of the things he does -- but at least he won't put any Justices on the Supreme Court like those sewer-swimming slugs, Sotomayor and Kagan -- products of "Messiah" Obama's regime....

No, Biden would indeed be "Obama 2.0", which is infinitely worse than a "Trump 2.0" will be.

I wasn't blowing you off, only pointing out that my conscience is more important to me than who is in the white house.

I don't think Biden over Trump is worth me voting for Trump if im not convinced he's my best choice.

Do you think there is any difference between Biden and Trump?

I do. Supreme Court picks, defense of the 2nd Amendment, border control, to name a few.

So here's how I see it. I live in a solid blue state. I'm not going to vote for Biden, so really, my vote doesn't count. I can vote Republican or third party or not at all, and it doesn't matter as far as the outcome. My state's delegates are going to Biden. Period. So if I vote for Trump or for some third party candidate that I really love, it simply doesn't matter, except I can say I voted my conscience. But if I lived in a swing state, then I would look at the differences between Biden and Trump, and vote for the one that was a better candidate to me on the issues. Because one of them is going to win, and one of them is going to have influence over the nation for the next 4 years, and they are not the same. So, in that case, I want my vote to count for the better of the two candidates.

To me, that is voting my conscience, even if there was a third party candidate I liked better. Because in a battleground swing state, my vote matters.

    Wow.

Trump Outpolling Biden 8 to 1.

Definitely a reasonable representation of the current ideological makeup of PF.

Hopefully, it is just a snapshot, and PF can get some more LW Members.

But, as of Now...It is what it is.:salute:

I've said it many times before, Andy... when the Democrat Party can resume developing leaders who have the quality of John F. Kennedy, then you'll see a LANDSLIDE of movement toward support for them.

I watched it all happen.... Beginning with Lyndon Johnson, the Democrat Party went almost completely to hell! It became an anti-American political faction that shifted all of its emphasis into gaining power through welfare-handouts, "White guilt", reverse-discrimination (a.k.a., "affirmative action"), racial 'quotas', and other ploys designed to replace free-market capitalism with government-dominated "Socialism-Lite"....

There won't ever be a man of John F. Kennedy's stature in the Democrat Party's leadership again -- because if a John F. Kennedy surfaced among Democrats today, he'd be castigated as a politically-incorrect, racially-incorrect, "America First-er" elitist!

I always chuckle when people claim that PF is left or skews left, it is actually steps away from being r/the_donald and if not for some of the mods it would be there already.

When the first page of anything related to trump is the same posters spamming “tds” orange man bad” “fake news” “bengazi” “obamagate” or whatever line they are parroting that week you can probably see why people looking for substantive good-faith discussion flee...

If you live outside of a swing state your vote does not matter if you vote for team red or team blue. Vote third party so they can become federally funded in future elections. The duopoly is smothering us.

That's hilarious.. we tried having reasonable conversation with you guys about a great many things.
Here is an example. We argued that Brett Kavanaugh was innocent until proven guilty.. He was proven innocent and has been praised by his felloe justices
But getting you guy to even admit that ge might not be guilty is impossible.

The thought process of the Democrats for the last 3 years has been "Trump is bad therefore everything he does it bad.."

Yes, it has been that shallow and narrow..

Yes, we are all well-familiar with "people looking for substantive good-faith discussion" (i.e., only liberal Democrats)!

They're the ones who moved heaven and Earth to destroy Brett Kavanaugh based on weird, half-assed recollections from sessions with a "therapist" -- and insisted that we on the Right must "believe the women" and keep our damned mouths shut!

They're the ones who have turned a completely deaf ear to a woman who has an interesting body of specifics about JOE BIDEN RAPING her... thus clearly showing their hypocritical double-standard concerning which "women" deserve to be "believed" and which don't. It's ALL politics and manipulation....

They're the ones who joyfully constructed two (TWO) Articles of Impeachment -- neither of which even bothered to charge President Trump with a crime -- and then rammed it through the House of Representatives so that they could give themselves a 'Christmas present' last year and 'feel good' about themselves.

"Good faith"...? :roflol:. There is no reason to think that any of today's America-hating, hyperliberal Democrats even know what that means!

Question, do you believe the Democrats here had anything to do with that?
Maybe the issue is you believe you are discussing issues with politicians and not citizens?

Also, maybe you do not understand the difference between disagreement and arguments in good faith.
It is acceptable to not agree on a topic. It is not acceptable to spam the board with slogans and memes over and over again.

First you start with strawmen arguments, then move on to generalizations,
Then you follow up with some group insults...
And then finish with a statement that is basically “they deserve it”.

An excellent example of what I am referring to.
    Thanks for that.

And like your friend, you begin with generalizations and “you guys” — you act like I personally made those remarks — I didn’t (feel free to go read my remarks on Kavanaugh, it is easy to search). The main issue I took with it is the coordinated stepping down of a justice, as these rape charges from decades ago are usually impossible to prove. If the timing is suspect and the charges not based on some pretty significant evidence then I ignore it.

trump is bad, he is a terrible human being and a terrible president in most respects.
But that is irrelevant — we can disagree on that and still should be able to act like adults and discuss the facts of the matter without insulting one another, making broad generalizations on each others personal character, or acting like we know the beliefs of the other in attempt to discredit their views before they even state them.

But like two of you have proved here... doesn’t seem likely.

Yes, yes, yes... obviously, you disagree. OK... got it! "Strawman", "strawman"... everything's a "strawman" when some disagree with the central POINT that has been made!

Now -- please tell me what I stated that was INCORRECT.

    I'll wait....
