As far as we know, none of the hundreds of thousands of others on Hydroxycloroquine for other conditions has come down with COVID-19. There are MDs taking it as a preventive.

Male or Female morbid obesity is a recognized and serious pathological condition and should be outed out of concern for the individual, particularly a public person who is expected to be a role model. Fat Shaming is denigrating or mocking someone for their appearance and is very different. It's particularly egregious because it doesn't help but usually exacerbates the bad eating habits that are due to stress.

If the hooker is dead and underage most pols would say it was research into teen drug use. Trump would further say he strangled her because she asked a nasty question while claiming the Constitution gave him that privilege

Put up or shut up, who are the people on the drug who have come down with the virus?

So basically any organ that needs oxygen is affected.

COVID-19 causes prolonged and progressive hypoxia (starving your body of oxygen) by binding to the heme groups in hemoglobin in your red blood cells.

People are simply desaturating (losing o2 in their blood), and that’s what eventually leads to organ failures that kill them, not any form of ARDS or pneumonia.

Your red blood cells carry oxygen from your lungs to all your organs and the rest of your body. Red blood cells can do this thanks to hemoglobin, which is a protein consisting of four “hemes”. Hemes have a special kind of iron ion, which is normally quite toxic in its free form, locked away in its center with a porphyrin acting as it’s ‘container’. In this way, the iron ion can be ‘caged’ and carried around safely by the hemoglobin, but used to bind to oxygen when it gets to your lungs.

Here’s where COVID-19 comes in. Its glycoproteins bond to the heme, and in doing so that special and toxic oxidative iron ion is “disassociated” (released). It’s basically let out of the cage and now freely roaming around on its own.

Think of it a lot like carbon monoxide poisoning, in which CO is bound to the hemoglobin, making it unable to carry oxygen. In those cases, ventilators aren’t treating the root cause; the patient’s lungs aren’t ‘tiring out’, they’re pumping just fine. The red blood cells just can’t carry o2.

Only in this case, unlike CO poisoning in which eventually the CO can break off, the affected hemoglobin is permanently stripped of its ability to carry o2 because it has lost its iron ion. The body compensates for this lack of o2 carrying capacity and deliveries by having your kidneys release hormones like erythropoietin, which tell your bone marrow factories to ramp up production on new red blood cells with freshly made and fully functioning hemoglobin. This is the reason you find elevated hemoglobin and decreased blood oxygen saturation as one of the 3 primary indicators of whether the **** is about to hit the fan for a particular patient or not.

Once your body is now running out of control, with all your oxygen trucks running around without any freight, and tons of this toxic form of iron floating around in your bloodstream, other defenses kick in. While your lungs are busy with all this oxidative stress they can’t handle, and your organs are being starved of o2 without their constant stream of deliveries from red blood cell’s hemoglobin, and your liver is attempting to do its best to remove the iron and store it in its ‘iron vault’. Only its getting overwhelmed too. It’s starved for oxygen and fighting a losing battle from all your hemoglobin letting its iron free, and starts releasing an enzyme called alanine aminotransferase (ALT).

Eventually, if the patient’s immune system doesn’t fight off the virus in time before their blood oxygen saturation drops too low, ventilator or no ventilator, organs start shutting down. No fuel, no work. The only way to even try to keep them going is max oxygen, even a hyperbaric chamber if one is available on 100% oxygen at multiple atmospheres of pressure, just to give what’s left of their functioning hemoglobin a chance to carry enough o2 to the organs and keep them alive. Yeah we don’t have nearly enough of those chambers, so some fresh red blood cells with normal hemoglobin in the form of a transfusion will have to do.

LOL. John Smith is on the drug and he's on a respirator now. Still waiting for your link I asked around a month ago to your claim that none of the 300,000 people on Hydroxychloroquine have been infected

    Haters.....
A question you really need to ask yourself.......
If #Hydroxychloroquine is as dangerous as the media wants us all to believe, are you surprised that they aren’t rejoicing that President Trump is taking it?! [IMG]

I've not once suggested that I'd rejoice if our president died. Having a president die while in office is chaotic for the country, especially if it happens during a crisis. Besides, if our president gets this, Pence is president, and he's not taking the recommended precautions either. Guess who is president if Pence bites it.... President Pelosi. I want this man as healthy as possible.

Any US citizen who wishes harm on any sitting president is a whack job.

It really doesn't matter much whether he lives or dies. His contribution to running the country is negligible. In fact his incompetence in every aspect government has done great damage

I find it odd there is so much opposition to hydroxycholraquine. Tens of thousands, maybe millions, have been using the medication for years. Obviously, some find it more beneficial than others, as with any medication. Obviously, there are some side effects that some experience more than others, as with any medication. Again obviously, the "experts" will be cautious and slow to recommend any new use for a drug, but there appears to be more resistance to the use of hydoxychloraquine against a new and deadly disease than is justifiable. It is not as if the medical "experts" have any better treatment options.

You may know the drug as Paquenil.

She called him fat and if a male especially Rep/Con said that about a female the be tarred and feathered. How come Pelosi can get away with it. How about Pence outing Stacy Abrahams for her "morbid obesity" which appears far worse than Trump that's for sure.

    BTW "morbid obesity"

"Which is not Donald Trump, at least according to the White House physician. In his February 2019 annual physical, Trump, who is 6'3", tipped the scales at 243 pounds. That gave him a BMI of 30.4 -- just over the edge of obesity but far from the technical definition of "severe" or "extreme" (or "morbid") obesity. For Trump to be considered "morbidly obese, he would need to weigh 320 pounds -- or more."

So when is Pelosi going to apologize for attacking someone based on their weight?

The opposition is toward anything Trump from the Orange Man Bad mob. It’s irrational but typical of mob behavior which ratchets down to the lowest common denominator which is approximately equivalent to the thought process of a five year old.

She's a straight up ******. She'll never apologize. No politician ever apologizes unless they get caught with hookers and/or blow.

Of course it matters. What a silly thing to say. No American can proudly proclaim they are American if they wish harm on a sitting president. Having a president go down during a crisis will cause chaos.

Any US citizen that thinks wearing a face mask will make the virus go away....is a whack job.
President Trump is making an educated guess with the backing of many Doctors. There is no "politically correct" way to approach this. Individuals make a choice. Is that O.K.?

Ah. You don't understand the point of the face masks. The information is not hard to find; it's rather easy, really. If you have no plans to wear one because reasons, though, there's no point in educating yourself. Don't be mad if a business won't let you in without one, though, mkay? They are listening to the experts, who make no claim that it makes the virus go away.

    Agreed.

    Transgender Drugs, male to female

List of effective drugs include; flutamide (Eulexin), nilutamide (Anandron, Nilandron), bicalutamide (Casodex), and according to a little known study, hydroxycholraquine.
