I didn't know until yesterday that the ark was found decades ago. Before commenting, please watch the video.

Please do us all a favour. Research.

Ron Wyatt was discredited decades ago. He was not an archaeologist. He was laughable. Even his own church discredit him. He was supposed to have found virtually everything mentioned in the OT - including claiming to know where the Ark of the Covenant was. He claimed to know where Abrahams tomb/cave is. He claimed to know where Sinai is. He claimed to have seen chariot wheels in the Red Sea. (We know now it was really the Reed sea - a boggy area much farther north that was meant)

Please don't believe everything you read or hear.

I see the ark, and I see people massed at the site. I see the Turkish officials, therefore to me that is reality. You have said nothing that would disprove what I am seeing with my own eyes other than some fantasies by those who make a habit of calumny and lies.

I accept everything I see and read until I see otherwise. If I didn't, I would be a very stupid person.

What do you see that actually demonstrates this was the actual ark? Please be specific.

Geologist Andrew Snelling of Answers in Genesis and Lawrence Collins of California State University Northridge's Department of geological Sciences have debunked the notion of the Durupinar site containing anything more than a completely natural geologic rock formation. In fact,Collins has published a point-by-point refutation of numerous claims made about the site.

I don't. There's a lot of trash written that really is unbelievable except to those who want to believe.. Try this
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Wyatt

Besides which Wyatt mentions titanium metal being used. Noah did not know about Titanium which wasn't discovered till the 18th CE century and separating it for use took longer and beyond the capabilities of anyone of the time. Even if they had known about it.

That thing in Turkey is a fake - the real Ark ended up in the US state of Kentucky. They restored it to the original shape it was in during Noah's lifetime. I've been to see it six times already and I'm always blown away. I just don't understand why if it landed in North America we don't have lions and giraffes and kangaroos over here. I guess it's all part of God's plan.

Hucksters like Ron Wyatt give legitimate scientific archaeology a bad name.

And you really believe that all those men with Ron Wyatt were hired actors, including the Turkish officials? If they weren't then it has to be Noah's ark.

I looked up Wyatt, and even though he's probably right about Noah's ark, he's wrong about the Ark of the Covenant - which as far as I know, is being guarded in Ethiopia. He's also wrong about Golgotha, since the Church of the Sepulcher in Jerusalem was built over the spot - and it was proven by the archeologists two years ago when it underwent repairs. Not only was everything in the Sepulcher exactly as specified in the Bible, but there were quite a few miraculous occurrences as well.

This doesn't mean he was deceiving people. It only means he was being deceived himself.

I made no accusations against Wyatt or his motives. I asked for evidence that this was the actual ark. Again, if you have that evidence, please be specific. I'm not holding the other things he got wrong against him. I'm talking about this specific claim.

But I thought it was in the Netherlands? This one has to be real because it's old.

All the evidence is in the video. I don't see what other evidence there could be unless Noah himself appeared - and even then it wouldn't be believed. The only surety would be the people in the video, and if they are who they present themselves to be.

If Wyatt's ark can't be disproved, then shouldn't the geologists, meteorologists and archeologists start looking at the world in a different context, rather than discarding everything as a myth?

    Just my view on things.

That means the people in the video were hired and paid to say what they did. That's a big payroll, what was Wyatt's gain?

I think the real question is, what makes Ron Wyatt different from anyone else that's claimed they discovered a holy relic and it's turned out to be bogus?

Ron Wyatt is the purveyor of the calumny and lies that you are basing your fantasies upon.

But since you haven't read or seen anything else here is a primer about Ron Wyatt's calumny and lies.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Wyatt

Ron Wyatt is a charlatan who preys upon the GULLIBLE!

Explain WHY the alleged "ark" is NOT the right WIDTH?

Why do you only see what you WANT to see and IGNORE what exposes the FALLACY of these ludicrous claims?

A natural formation on the side of a volcano that just happens to coincidentally be the same length as a number in your bible provided you use a DIFFERENT variable that is NOT found in your bible is specious at best.

There is ZERO EVIDENCE of any "great flood" event which makes the claim even more bogus.

In essence the story of Noah's Ark is metaphorical and based upon superstitions invented to explain quite ordinary events like floods that do occur quite naturally.

Wyatt was a Charlatan - even his own people disassociated themselves from him. Look at the list of things he's supposed to have discovered. No proof. It's laughable.

The Church of the Nativity - The Church of the Sepulchre. All teachings of the Church. All down to tradition. The birthplace of Jesus could have been the birthplace of many children in the old days. A 'ledge' (manger) where animal food was normally kept but used to keep the baby off the floor. In those days poor people kept their animals in the house. And there was no 'Inn' in a small village. A traveller passing through and requiring food, water or accommodation overnight would wait in the village 'square' and someone would offer him what he required. This was a Jewish custom. It is used in the story of Abraham and the two 'men' approaching.
Knowing the background and history can show the reality - not supposition.

I wonder if this thread is really satire? No one can be that gullible, surely.

I'm afraid so. People are prepared to accept anything if it suits their way of thinking. If so-and-so says it - it must be true. The Church, Islam and others have got away with it for centuries. Just believe what you are told. Don't question it.

You're right, of course. It just seemed that this so ridiculous that no one could take it seriously. They'd have the used-car salesmen rubbing their hands....
