We’ve now veered off from the original point and I’m not about to go into explaining the original conversation. That being said, my point about slaves was that we were taking about the US and what is and has occurred in this country regarding ethnic diversity. The person I was taking to kept going on about how the US would be better if it was mostly white since it’s all these other groups (mainly blacks) causing all sorts of problems. I just merely pointed out whites don’t exactly have a spotless record for what has occurred in this country. Context is everything.

The Native Americans tribes fought each other. There is no reason to believe that they were completely innocent.
    Africans enslaved Africans in Africa.

That ridiculous montage of liberal absurdities is wonderful.

Now please tell us how diversity helped to achieve that and not hold it back?

You and your ilk have shown you’re too scared to actually have that debate with me on this subject. So how about you either address my points or keep it moving so you and the three liberal amigos can keep your lunch money.

None of you wanted to or have even REMOTELY come close to defending your position on diversity. You do the same thing every other liberal does when pressed on that issue. You declare that diversity is the superior moral position, you refuse to address arguments made on the subject and you roundly declare anyone who disagrees with your position an immoral racist.

So there’s two things you need to know when you take that tact. Your side has used “racist” and “bigot” as a tool to silence your opposition for so long that we no longer care if you call us those things anymore.

And second if your position is SO weak that all you have is emotional pleas, a refusal to address the other side and ad hominem attack... your position is most likely wrong.

Right, except my post was in regards to the US and what has gone on here. Let’s not try to keep moving the goal posts. The point about Native Americana’s was about ethnic diversity. Context is everything.

I have addressed it. You’re being disingenuous claiming otherwise. Where did I call you a racist or bigot???

Fine. Then please explain how the ethnic diversity you seem to be so proud of benefited our country.

Because in spite of the TRILLIONS of dollars we have spent on minorities and the MILLIONS of lives lost and families destroyed by those minorities... the state of their populations and the lack of contribution to our society speaks for itself And yet you think it’s been helpful.

How has the diversity benefited us? Because I can name a cornucopia of ways it’s been detrimental.

No, I don't obsess as much as contemplate. I simply compared world history with current events.

Personally, decades ago, I chose to move to a city which is rich in cultural diversity and more of a melting pot from a city which preferred racial segregation and more of a tossed salad. Of course, my mixture of friends and acquaintances value diversity/individuality, working together toward common goals, and are not part of the antagonistic activists who are promoting tribal race wars for political reasons.

Diversity contributed to economic inequality with immigrants wages. Diverse workplaces are harder to unionize, too.

Pointing out that violence and slavery were not unique to the US or whites. It was typical of the time. Not that we have improved all that much.

Already did...twice. The US has always been ethnically diverse and has become a superpower. Seems we've done alright.

That’s not a justification for diversity. It is FAR more likely we accomplished that in SPITE of the diversity.

If you believe the diversity assisted that fact as opposed to hindered it then please explain how.

But, context is everything, don't you know. ;) If you take a myopic view on anything and ignore the entire universe outside of that view, then you can pick apart the thing on which you focus your microscope.

Those who are ignorant of history are doomed to repeat it.

Yes, it is a pity that diversity is ruining a great nation, indeed, a great civilization as diversity comes to Europe, too.

Since this country started out ethnically diverse and has remained ethnically diverse and has flourished to the power this country is then clearly ethnic diversity hasn't hindered us. Do you think we'd be a super duper power if the country was just one ethnic group?

I didn't vote for Trump because I lived in New York and understand what kind of person he is. he's the type of person that will bribe government officials to steal people's land, through eminent domain, and sell it to him so he so he can build the limo parking lot at his hotels

anyone who thinks he's actually a Republican and for small government is an idiot

The country is coming apart with no common goal or common vision. Surely, you've noticed.

What made you think America was great again?

They talk about moving the goal posts. What they don't realize is that is where the goal posts were all the time, but they chose to ignore them..

Specifically? And you think that's because we're ethnically diverse? Forgetting the fact that we've ALWAYS been ethnically diverse.

You’re missing the point. I’m not saying the country should be all white with zero diversity (even though whites are the most diverse race in the world but I digress).

The POINT is that the more diversification you have the more dysfunctional your country or organization or group becomes. The more diversification you have the more division you will have because human beings are born with an evolutionary imperative to protect one’s own group. Because of this imperative they tend to cluster within a group that is like themselves ESPECIALLY when they are a minority within the overall group. When they do so they seek protections for their group exclusive to others.

That’s what’s happening here. And it will only get worse.

Merkel, after inviting anyone who could get to Germany to move to Germany, Angela Merkel admitted that diversity does not work unless migrants assimilate into the core culture and not insist on the admitting country submitting to the immigrants' previous-home culture.

So exactly like what has always happened when immigrants came to this country in the past. They tended to cluster among themselves. And yet the US flourished and grew to the super power it is. Go figure.
