And as always, tremendous claims of being "wildly off" make no information as to what the they are.

Yesterday's deaths in the US was 1,036. Today is showing 555. Wherever you are getting numbers of 2,000 per day is off. Sorry. You will now have to find something else to quiver about.

Middle day of a 3 day weekend.

There are a number of people who count these things are home, grieving all the people they knew in the last 2 months.

Don't worry, when they are back at work the workers will certify the cause of deat and send in the numbers

The dead will be patiently waiting to be counted

How will they turn on a dime? They'll just say ---and with justification---- that the pandemic began and accelerated during the disastrous Trump term and that they (the Democrats) need some time to get their new policies to work.

How much time will you give them? Four years?

Nah, I'm going to blame Biden right away. This virus is going to kill people for years, if not decades, if not centuries.

Death of a loved one is sad, no matter how they died. Nothing we will ever do with stop humans from dying every day forever as long as the earth keeps spinning.

We can just keep printing money, it can't cost much to do so...

    Honestly.

If somebody wants to stay home they can, then they are "safe". Nobody is effected but them.

Their insistence that others do so to keep them "safe" is selfish and unrealistic. I'm not telling what to do, they have that right. They should likewise respect my right not to stay home if I choose not to. They just can not wrap their heads around the concept of personal responsibility in relation to freedom.

I'm glad the states are opening up. Screw em if they don't like that people have the right to make a living.

It's standard fare that's been used in South Korea and other successful nations from the beginning. If you think it's malarkey then you are more intelligent at finding emojis than amateur epidemiology

I don't know why you conservatives always try to herd all those who detest Trump into the Biden or Democrat camp. You have no idea how much the Dems infuriate me. I detest them too much.

Yes, they are an EXTREME case. Americans would never lockdown that hard. We could not be as effective at fighting the virus as more authoritarian ones. We can still test, track, and quarantine. This is serious. Trump has no balls. He is unequipped, to deal with this threat. It would have made him a hero.

And, that he was so hands off, would have given him cred. Trump instead, IGNORED IT, cuz JAred said so.

Trump was playing the role of a cheerleader when we could have used a linebacker. As we used to say back in my day. His **** is weak.

~ Nobody knew what to do when this all started. No solid information was coming from China , WHO or the CDC. Everyone was guessing - we still are in the learning curve. Trump took the extreme measure of closing down.
The "linebacker" in all of this should have been the government of China. We all know how that worked out ...

What Trump should have done was well-known, standard, accepted and PROVEN practice within epidemiology. Those countries that did it have nothing even APPROACHING our infection and death rates. Not only that, but Trump was well-apprised that this was a likely scenario FOUR TIMES, once months before he actually became President and his only response was to cancel the office within the CDC that actually handled pandemics.

Trump wasn't a linebacker indeed. He was getting drunk with a cheerleader on the day of the game.

Regardless of the configuration of the President's genitals it seems that your example of the ability of the Chinese to end the virus' spread in China is in error.

~ In 1938, at a Nazi rally Adolf Hitler ordered Ferdinand Porsche to design a "car for the people" - and the beloved Volkswagen was born .
“It is for the broad masses that this car has been built. "
