But he has no evidence, which of course isn't a shock as he rarely has evidence of the things he claims. Although he regularly has vague hunches that can often be propped up with sophistry and innuendo and I think that's whats happening here. The President is also a master of flip flopping in such a spectacular way that you almost forget he was ever for the thing he becomes against, or vice versa.

For over a month we heard about his commitment to increasing testing, but when the testing kept showing that daily infections were growing he changed his mind and said testing was "overrated" and that doing "too much testing makes us look bad". But he and most every other GOP politician spent the last 4+ months talking about how infection counts were the basis for re-opening until only recently backtracking from that with some of them changing to statistic percentages because its easier to make those look better. Now it appears hes taking up a fight against the numbers themselves because its easier to call them a lie than it is to try and make them look better.

And ya hes not alone in this, and that's a shame because its foolish behavior that is currently inspiring behavior that will directly lead to more infections and more deaths. Pres Trump is is putting his campaign image ahead of our safety. He's lost my vote.

This confirms the death count is inflated. You can debate how inflated it is, but you can't debate whether it is inflated or not....because it's a fact that it's inflated unless you are calling all those dr's liars..

Something like 60% of Americans over the age of 30 are at risk. And when they say 'at risk', they don't just mean dying. They mean at risk of moderate to severe symptoms and a protracted recovery. Even mild symptoms still require your entire household to quarantine with you until you test negative, which can be up to two months. That puts huge numbers of people out of the workforce, out of money, trapped in the home, and not knowing whether they'll be one of the ones who end up with permanent organ damage. This is the greater risk, actually. That vast numbers (lets not forget that nearly every sick person takes others with them into quarantine) will be offline for many weeks, all at the same time.

To suggest that it's only a problem for the old and the sick, or that death is the only risk, is delusional - with respect.

60% of Americans over 30 are overweight. I'm sure that differs from region to region, but apparently it's more or less accurate. When you add in things like Insulin Resistance and diabetes (both associated with overweight), and lack of exercise, and high fat high sodium diets etc - all risk factors for COVID .. it's very easy to see why risk isn't what you think it is. Now add in things like smoking and drinking (also both risk factors for COVID), and it just gets worse.

So tell us again, who is at risk?
