Yeah, yeah. Barr is Trump's pet toady. I know all of the smears.

I know that we've been living the bananna republic tactics for the past three years.

No, I do not want them. Why do you? Hmm?

Do you believe that an unelected bureaucracy will lead us to a Global Socialist Utopia?

As usual with Trump supporters, all you can do is attack the messenger when faced with facts. This was the last dumbass post of yours that I'll read. Adding you to my Ignore list.

Well, obviously your eyes are wide shut, for if they were open, you'd have seen that
Trump is the worst offender on undermining the rule of law more than any president in history. His administration is one of the most scandal riddled and corrupt administrations in history, garnering a few dozen books written about the wrecking ball that Trump's white house is.

He had to close his charity for 'illegal activity' was fined $2 million, used charity funds to pay personal debts, used charity funds to purchase a portrait of himself.
He was sued for discrimination against blacks
He fornicated with a pornstar, payed her $130k in hush money, was named individual #1 in a felony indictment of Cohen, as unnamed co-conspirator. and fornicated with that porn star just after his newlywed wife gave birth
He built his campaign on a lie, that Obama was born in Kenya.
He was sued by 5000 people in a class action suit, settled for $25,000,000
He attempted to screw a widow out her home using 'eminent domain' so he could build a limo garage.
He was sued over 100 times by contractors for non payment.
He has been party to over 3500 lawsuits, and, as such, is a vexatious litigator, not using courts for redress, but as a weapon.

Republican administrations are rife with criminals, scandals, indictments and Trump's adminstration -- 89 indictments, 24 convictions, 2 jail sentences.

Geez, does Trump live rent free in your head or what?!! I was referring to Flynn. This thread is about Flynn, not TRUMP. Go seek help for your obsession.

It's been proven that he was blackmailed into his confession. Coersion is not allowed.

Sadly, it's not illegal for corrupt cops to do that crap to innocent people.

I know that most all of these disgusting slim balls will go free without suffering any repercussions, and they know it.

In June 2017, a Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court judge ruled that two former assistant attorneys general committed "fraud on the court," by purposely withholding exculpatory evidence that sent people to prison, and not a damn thing happened to them. They still work in the justice system. So I don't see that justice will be served for Flynn either. The one possibility, is the low level pukes who falsified evidence. But Comey, Brennen, Clapper, they will never see justice served to them.

Amazing to see the left do a 180 degree flip, toss their morals, principles and ethics into the toilet. Now they are perfectly okay with the FBI abusing the powers of their office to frame innocent people. Just more proof that in the era of Trump, the left, and most every Democrat have gone completely, utterly, insane.

Nothing since Flynn framed himself by lying. All the moron had to do was to tell the truth; how hard could that have been? But he had to lie and now had decided he doesn't want to get sent off to prison. He should have thought of the consequences prior to lying.

With the witch hunt in full swing?

C'mon be reasonable. The government, the media, and the popular culture were all looking for someone to burn at the stake. How can you expect one guy to stand against such an onslaught? There is only one Trump.

So you believe liars should be in prison- after lying under oath?

    All of them?

    Think carefully.

I think whatever the penalty is for lying whether under oath or in this case to the FBI should be whatever is on the books. No more, no less.

So just to be clear- anyone, in any party or capacity, should be held to prison (or jail) for lying under oath?

If that's what the applicable law says, then yes, if the law says no or gives the court leeway, that's fine as well.

Not all lying is the same - this is part of the problem.
Violations of the principles of Justice in the course of conducting the investigation is another.

    See comment #256.

Justice for Michael Flynn will be served when he's behind bars.

Why do you need him to be the good guy? Or do you need the FBI to be the villains because that's what Trump wants you to think?

    Yes.

If there is no penalty for lying under oath, our justice system may as well be non-existent.

What crime did Flynn commit, other than to not have perfect memory recall, when the FBI decided they wanted to "get him to lie" so they can work to "get him fired?"

Flynn is not guilty of any crimes.

Nothing will happen. Democrats are above the law. They never really go down for anything they do wrong.

No, Trump is above the law; he has said he can do anything he likes. And he has done so.

Not sure how the Court denying Flynn's Brady request...where the Mueller team lied to the Court claiming they didn't possess certain evidence proves or helps your case.

    https://www.cnbc.com/2020/05/07/pro...ithdraws-amid-controversy-over-documents.html

"Van Grack’s withdrawal follows the public release of new documents that were unsealed in the case, which Flynn’s defenders say provide evidence of wrongdoing by the government."

    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/fl...s-by-former-special-counsel-brandon-van-grack

    "
Van Grack has long informed Sullivan that the government’s so-called "Brady" obligations, referring to prosecutors' duty to turn over exculpatory materials to defendants, have been met. In an October 2019 filing, Van Grack denied governmental misconduct and assured the court that the government “has complied, and will continue to comply, with its discovery and disclosure obligations, including those imposed pursuant to Brady and the Court’s Standing Order.”

In that same October 2019 motion, Van Grack elaborated on those claims, telling Sullivan that the government had not “affirmatively suppressed evidence” or hid Brady material. He denied that government was “aware of any information that would be favorable and material to [Flynn] at sentencing.”
