    How does Alzheimer's kill you?

    • Physically, dementia impacts a person's immune system, and their ability to cope with infections. The Alzheimer’s Society reported that a person may die because of a clot on the lung or a heart attack. Pneumonia is listed as the ultimate cause of death in up to two-thirds of people with dementia.

Hiding out is not good for the human immune system.

"Our mental health problems, stress, addiction and abuse levels are increasing. Furthermore, it is a well-known sociological phenomenon that suicides – particularly amongst men – increase when a recession puts them out of work for extended periods of time. And our immune systems are weakening. We are a social primate, and our immune systems evolved over millennia to be kept strong by continual exposure to microbes via social contact and being outdoors, thus developing in us an immunity from many different diseases. Therefore, being inside our homes for weeks or months, away from other people and dousing every surface with bleach and sanitiser is almost certainly detrimental in the long term for our immune systems."

As much logic as you saying that abortion is as essential medically as a broken arm.

Falling out of that tree could cause a spontaneous abortion.

BTW are you unaware Republican women also have abortions?

Yep, on aversge about 10 years after diagnosis. Hence people with Alzheimer's are not on their death beds. Some live as long as 20 years after diagnosis.

WTF does having a broken arm have to do with you getting an abortion?

Could you apply any logic to that statement at all???

Why didn't you address the post you quoted ? :

Yes, it is essential to take care of both in a timely manner...they are both legal medical procedures...

It was a response to a ridiculous statement that we will all lose a loved one to covid. You know that but you chose to take the low road, as usual.

No he didn't. You KNOW this too but you keep following the dem handbook. Even when you know you're wrong, double down and hope no one notices. The more you make such false claims, the more your desperation shows.

Yes, and most do not get placed in a home until they are near the end of those 10-20 years. Same for most other chronic diseases. People stay in their own homes until they can't care for themselves and/or family can't care for them. Unless they have finances to pay for better quality in-home care at end of life, they end up in a nursing home.

In the Care Home I had, most of the residents had dementia and many were there for many years. None were near the end (we would not take any who were near the end). Many of their families were just too happy to have that "burden" taken off their hands especially when the government is paying the fees and many did not bother to visit their mum or dad. My care home was not a nursing home, it was registered for dementia care. In my 32 bed care home we had about 6 deaths per year and most of those deaths were from falls, typically a broken hip that led to other complications when they were admitted into hospital. Rarely was the death linked to their dementia

Trump calls coronavirus Democrats' 'new hoax'
    www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trump...
Feb 29, 2020 · “This is their new hoax,” Trump continued, adding that attacking the White House’s response to the coronavirus had become the Democratic Party’s “single talking point.”

Gosh, I got the month wrong, it was February…:)

I'm not so sure. I see a high of 2528 on 6 May, down to 1871 on 12 May. Then shrinking to 865 on 17 May as these stats go up and down. On 19 May deaths were back up to 1552 which then has shown a steady decline to 505 on 25 May. The 505 is the lowest since 29 Mar when 495 deaths occurred.

    https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

Is it time for business as usual, no. But it isn't time to keep everything closed up either. What we need to do is go slow, reevaluate everyday. Go state by state as some states may be ready to reopen, others not. I'd be in favor of going county by county, local community by local community. New York may not be ready to reopen but South Dakota and Kansas might be. Upstate New York could be ready, the city itself not. Go easy and use common sense. But when things turn political as this CoronaVirus has, common sense is the first thing thrown out the window onto the trash heap of never to be recovered.

I'm still waiting for you to address the fact that the CDC's numbers don't support your claims.

Perhaps you can point out how those "people staying home and starving" are at the same time going to food banks"? That's quite a magic trick - being at two places at the sametime
