I think a good strategy for the Dems would be to remind people that this "great" economy we're striving to regain was so fragile that scores of millions of people were on the verge of homelessness after missing just one paycheck.

You can be sure the recession will last at least one year.

There will be a second wave because the reopening was done too soon in several states.

And no president has ever been re-elected when the country was in recession.

Same could be said for the "jobless recovery" we experienced back in 2011. I'll also remind the Dems that infrastructure was a major thing, on the table and Nancy Pelosi pulled her stunt and had a temper tantrum and prevented us from having a 1.5-2 trillion dollar deal.

Later on, we're spending dead money due to the shutdown. Elect freaking Green Party members before we elect Democrats, send a message.

Haha, remember when they made up the "jobs saved" phrase because the traditional creation metrics weren't looking so good.

So why is the Biden campaign worried about a recovery later this year?

Not happening in GA, several states never locked down. If we do have a second wave I hope our health care industry can handle it, they are being decimated by the idiot lock down, laying off lots of people. Who knows how many will die of other causes from not being able to get tested.

Wrong, FDR was elected in a depression, that his policies made worse.

Nobody has been elected POTUS who has been in the Senate as long as Biden has either.

We've already known the Democrats were trying to crash the economy by dragging out the shutdowns in hopes of defeating Trump.

I have a huge issue with a party who cares more about gaining power than they do about the welfare of our country. When they screw with the economy to screw with Trump, they are also screwing with YOU and ME and EVERY AMERICAN.

I don't like seeing working Americans being written off as collateral damage in the Dem's power struggle.

Some people are too stupid to even have an inkling of how the economy works ---- but for the rest of us, I hope everyone remembers what the Democrats have done, when election time rolls around.

I also hope people think long and hard about who will be the best bet to get our economy rolling again. My money is on Trump. It doesn't matter if people "like" him, or if he's warm and fuzzy, or if he tweets too much ---- his potential to get our economy back on track is leagues beyond Biden.

LOL, Nobody even said anything! It is a report about nothing.

Yes, if the economy improves it helps trump. Did that just occur to you?

Most of us call that "obvious". But I'm glad you have Fox Noise to explain it to you and then somehow blame democrats. WTF?!?! LOL!

Uh, it wasn't FOX, it was Biden campaign itself worried about the OP topic. I guess the fake news you watch didn't report it. The real story of this thread is probably Dem action to intentionally harm the economy to get Trump.

    Fake news.

Cases in Georgia have exploded since April 7.

    Probably a coincidence....

Sorry, but FDR was re-elected in 1936 while the country was in recovery.

considering that i'm in the insurance biz, I think i'm pretty aware.

i'm more interested in continuing to restart the economy than traffic accidents resuming normal levels (which create jobs :) )

That's their choice. Americans need to learn to live within their means and I love the way it's suddenly Trumps economy not Obama's. LOL

I don't have to prove the alternate facts you're putting forward.

    It was 17.2% in 1938. 21.7% in 1934.

FDR was re-elected because the country was on the path to recovery.

    It's the opposite of Trump.

Stastically its probably true. But that doesnt keep me at home any more than the virus.

It's not too terrible around here, but when driving on I4 or 95 you really have to have your eyes open.

The last time I was in Clearwater it seemed like there was a report of some old codger plowing into another vehicle or pedestrian and killing someone every day.

Doesn't keep me from going out, either. Life is full of risks and the beach beckons...
