Unfortunately governors who, unlike Cuomo, did have a chance to see first hand that Trump was lying, like Florida's DeSantis, didn't use the advantage of knowing that as well as they should have. Wow! What you say is exactly the opposite from reality. NY adjusted their numbers as soon as they knew the number of nursing home residents who died in hospitals.

While DeSantis fired the person doing the counting. After that.... we don't know. Numbers are whatever DeSantis' office dictates. Thanks to Florida press, they have been forced to adjust the numbers... twice. But we depend on the press finding out that there are miscounts for that to happen.

If it weren't for the press, Florida would probably have more dead than NY, and we wouldn't even know it.

DeSantis has shown such deplorable leadership skills that he won't take any decision unless he either feels immense pressure, or Trump orders him to.

Why the hell are you comparing the number of dead in Florida to New York?

New York shut down while Trump was still saying that he had the pandemic under control. Florida wouldn't shut down because he was awaiting orders from Trump. Florida doesn't have as many cases because the people decided to shut down on their own. We had a shelter-at-home order from my city when DeSantis was still waiting for Trump to tell him what to do.

I'll even give you SNOPES for the missing ballots. This represents only volunteered mail in ballots, and 1 in 5 were not returned. This doesn't account for all the ones that were set aside, spoiled, or returned for any other reason. The problem is, through the mail the ballots exchange so many times from one hand to another, how can you really trust they all make it to or back from the voters? Remember how paranoid people were with the computer touch screen voting machines?

So, republican governors are smarter than democrat governors? And those closest to the problem will have the best chance of handling it properly? I am all for smaller federal government, lets team up and put the onus on the states to help instead of the federal government. Lets repeal the federal mandate of Obamacare. Lets take back to federal court ruling on states for same sex marriages. Get rid of federal powers they don't deserve.
