I agree...it wasn't censored. What Tweeter did was add an editorial response to it...thus making it a publisher and no longer protected under the law from liability.

 

Now that is plan cenorship and plainly editorializing.

Sounds like Tweeter is now protecting the liberal Mayor of MI that's allowing this madness.

 

Commentary isn't censorship. They didn't remove his post, they added a link to rebuttal information.

 

The EO specifically says censorship and restricting speech. Fact checking and adding a link to rebuttal info don't qualify as that, so he must be referring to actual banning and removal of posts. They'd basically have to go full bore on enforcing their ToS, which they haven't really done with regard to politicians up to this point.

Why do you think Fox News does that, but none of the big-name progressive news sites do? It's almost like Fox welcomes comments, criticisms, and discussion, while the leftist sites want no part of any of that.

I agree it's not censorship, cenorship would be deleting it. It does at a level of restriction...but more importantly it is adding editorial content...thus removing it from protection under the current law, creating it a publisher and thus open to liability

 

Nothing I did changed your post, right? I assume everything that comes from Trump is false and don't need to be told what to think. If there was an app people can download if they need their information filtered and spoon fed to them, that would be okay.

The right in this country wants it both ways. When social media was used to help Trump in 2016, it was “freedom of the press” and such. But now that they call him out on his lies, now they are the devil.
