Now we are getting the “more dead than reported” BS and “just wait till the next wave!!!” Threats...as their dire predictions turned out to be so incredibly wrong.

 

It's a process, as we get more information we improve the models.

If we follow your line of reasoning, that implies we need contact tracing (which would need a lot more testing) to improve the models further.

That would mean a national effort to dramatically increase testing. We would also need to build a contact tracing system which could then use that information to get a handle on both the numbers and the disease.

 

You put your children in a car knowing full well a horrible accident that kills and or disables them for life is a distinct possibility. Most of us are developing the same attitude with Covid. Life goes on and you accept the risk involved instead of hiding in your house afraid to go out into the dangerous world.
Also remember the vast majority of Covid deaths are in the high risk group so if you are young and healthy your more likely to die in a car wreck than from Covid.

You missed the point entirely. Hospitals thought they would be overwhelmed by Covid patients so they stopped all elective procedures in anticipation of this even that never occurred. Instead they sat empty. Just in the last week have they opened for regular business.

 

Where are hospitals being overwhelmed? Have documented examples?

I live in the real world and in that world hospitals nation wide sat empty as fear mongers claimed they were being overwhelmed with covid patients.

But, that's the beauty of those scenarios. Without the control experiment (i.e. having the pandemic play out without the lockdown), nobody can tell for sure, Therefore, both sides can claim that they are correct.

 

Yet there is only one reality, the reality in which the lockdowns happened and we're going to enjoy the long term financial consequences therein. And it was the Left who wanted the national emergency declaration, it was the left that forced the stimulus spending by the governor shut down actions.

The Left owns it all, in the eyes of independents and conservatives. Even if Biden is elected, all that means is that we now have a democratic President we can pin it on.
