Do you really think this has the vaguest resemblance to what the looters are doing now? It has nothing to do with skin color or race. They were protesting the tax during the Boston Tea Party. Now the purpose is solely to loot and destroy with no other purpose in mind.

You know what you did. Own it. The current bedlam has nothing to do with the American revolution. But that's what you implied. There's no other reasonable explanation for your post.

I notice you haven't tried to offer an alternative justification. Sad.

    Fail.

It is kind of the beauty of living in Colorado, lots of opportunity for extreme sports.

Watching the protests unfolding on video feeds, it seems that there are three distinct things happening all at the same time.

Most protestors are those who come out during the day, are peaceful, protest, and go home. George Floyd is the center of their focus.

The more radical ones take over after the day protestors go home and seem intent on confronting the police. Their focus is the police.

The looters are just there to loot. Their focus is on collecting as much loot as possible and moving on. It seems that they are the ones that are starting the fires. Probably to destroy evidence, like fingerprints.

These are the ones under discussion. Evidence is in abundance on film. Turning over cars, burning police stations and post offices have nothing to do with trying to destroy evidence. Their purpose is to loot and destroy.

George Floyd was murdered by a government employee in a city run by Democrats.

Just another unfortunate victim of big government liberalism.

What does one loot out of a police station or post office. There are two distinct groups, one confronts the police, burns their stations and their cars, the other seizes the moment to loot. Those who are rioting don’t have time to loot.

Loot and destroy. It is doubtful the police would spend much time trying to sort out finger prints in a business where there are literally thousands of fingerprints who may or may not have anything to do with the looting and destroying when they have an abundance of pictures showing who is doing the looting and destroying.

Improper control of the Police might not just be a Blue Issue.

QUALIFIED IMMUNITY: Police act like laws don’t apply to them because of ‘qualified immunity.’ They’re right.

If qualified immunity exists at all — and it shouldn’t — it should be by statute. Instead it’s a doctrine that judges literally made up out of thin air because they thought it was a good idea.

There's a legal obstacle that's nearly impossible to overcome when police officers and government officials violate our constitutional and civil rights.

The Supreme Court created qualified immunity in 1982.

Four decades on, qualified immunity routinely shields both the incompetent and those who knowingly violate the law. In the past year alone — along with the two cases above (cops who allowed their police dog to bite a surrendered suspect, prison guard pepper sprayed an inmate in his locked cell “for no reason”)— courts have granted qualified immunity to:

    ►Officers who stole $225,000.

►A cop who shot a 10-year-old while trying to shoot a nonthreatening family dog.

►Prison officials who locked an inmate in a sewage-flooded cell for days.

►SWAT team members who fired gas grenades into an innocent woman’s empty home.

►Medical board officials who rifled through a doctor’s client files without a warrant.

►County officials who held a 14-year-old in pretrial solitary confinement for over a month.

►A cop who body-slammed a 5-foot-tall woman for walking away from him.

►Police who picked up a mentally infirmed man, drove him to the county line and dropped him off at dusk along the highway, where he was later struck and killed by a motorist.

On Monday, the Supreme Court will announce whether it will hear some of those cases and reconsider the doctrine of qualified immunity. If it does, there is hope that the court will revoke the license to lawless conduct it granted government officials in 1982. If it does not, lack of accountability will continue to rule the day and the promises of the Bill of Rights will be a matter of judicial grace, rather than constitutional right.

In that world — the one we live in right now — police officers and all other government officials will continue to behave as if the law doesn’t apply to them. Because, thanks to qualified immunity, it doesn’t.

Is this very same immunity that President Trump invoked? Interesting stuff, looks like it's all gonna come to a head.

No. Presidential immunity is based on separation of powers.

    More. BS...

Simpke fact.. conservatives hold exactly 0 seats in any government in the nstion as far as i can tell.. the president is not conservative, i know of no conservative congressman, mayors, governors or members of state legislatures.

There is nothing in this country that is the fault of conservatives..

Conservatives believe in constitutional freedom and the rule of law .

Liberals just believe in power and they pay off and placate people for votes.

Took me a while to figure out City Park. Had to look it up. Guess I’ve been there a bunch and never paid any attention to the park. Used to go to IMAX and the Museum of Natural History. There is a dinosaur there that was discovered not far from where I grew up.

I still drive by Washington park occasionally to get to my Uncle’s house. I’ve always appreciated it’s beauty. Denver does have two sides for sure, but so do most cities. Thanks for sharing.

    Again:

Don't believe the question has been asked, or is in any way relevant. Do you think any of the protesters have given any thought to his political affiliation? Do you think that everyone else wears partisan blinders like you seem to?

    Sad!
