Dailywire is an unreliable source. "Mixed" means too many not factual stories.

Twitter can do whatever it wants, it's a private enterprise.

Google, like Twitter, can be your friend - and a publisher. ;-)

“Publishing is the activity of making information, literature, music, software and other content available to the public for sale or for free.[1] Traditionally, the term refers to the distribution of printed works, such as books, newspapers, and magazines. With the advent of digital information systems, the scope has expanded to include electronic publishing such as ebooks, academic journals, micropublishing, websites, blogs, video game publishing, and the like.

Publishing may produce private, club, commons or public goods and may be conducted as a commercial, public, social or community activity.[2] The commercial publishing industry ranges from large multinational conglomerates such as RELX, Pearson and Thomson Reuters[3] to thousands of small independents. It has various divisions such as: trade/retail publishing of fiction and non-fiction, educational publishing (k-12) and academic and scientific publishing.[4] Publishing is also undertaken by governments, civil society and private companies for administrative or compliance requirements, business, research, advocacy or public interest objectives.[5] This can include annual reports, research reports, market research, policy briefings and technical reports. Self-publishing has become very common.

"Publisher" can refer to a publishing company or organization, an individual who leads a publishing company or an imprint, or to an individual who leads a magazine.”

In other words, though twitter is a public platform, it's a private enterprize. 1a means a private enterprize is free to say, OR NOT say, anything it wants.

    Capiche?

And when websites like Twitter or Facebook start editorializing people's opinions or post....they are then acting as publisher by making information, and therefore are not protected Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. Ironically, just in Jan of this year, Joe Biden was running for the Presidential nominee for the DNC....he had the same position as the President, and Dems decided they wanted him to be President....now when the current President agrees...they flip flop

Trump is only removing their statutory immunity from libel and slander lawsuits.
Slander and libel are not protected speech.

Twitter, Bezos/Amazon, FaceBook, and Google have needed to be Standard Oiled for some time.

The first amendment protects Twitter, not Trump. Twitter has free speech, it's the publisher, the publisher is not Trump.
Therefore, the first amendment says Twitter can say, or not say, anything it wants, which includes editing it's content any way it pleases.

And on what grounds? Without grounds, your suit will be tossed.

Twitter cannot do slander, it's print media. Twitter as a first amendment right to edit content, which includes the removal of same.

If somebody says something that is offensive, they can be held liable now. Only a matter of time before lawyers pounce.

Get a grip. Its a private company, they have no power to shut Trump's trap. Watch. Only government has the power to censor, for the rest of us, its the power of choice.

It could be sued for allowing libelous content, or incitements to violence. It censored Trump, but not others for same, that's an issue. However, the first amendment I'm pretty sure means it can edit it's content anyway it sees fit.

Libel is difficult to prove. Being offensive isn't libel, per se. We can shout "libel' on forums such as this, all day long. The real question is to find a lawyer to take the case. Ianal, I'm just guessing.
