To add to that, when people are burning down people’s homes, businesses and public buildings, you think they’re going to sit down and talk?

 

Trump should talk less and commit more war crimes like his predecessors.

You can't win the hearts and minds of a mob as a mob has neither. You can either try to redirect it's energy, or disperse it the former just moved the carnage down the road.

Leftist “protesters” and politicians have had their fun for a week. Lots of great looting and burning. But enough is enough.

 

Obama's language was inclusive, that's the difference, and while we are comparing Obama's ratings, let's take a look at the larger picture, from start to finish, it's obvious that Obama was more popular than Trump. The ACA hurt Obama, though people started liking it a lot more after Obama left office.
Obama went above 50% many times, Trump, however, not once.

 

Obama started at 67% and ended up at 47%, a 20% drop and bounced around 50% several times on the way down. Trump, on the other hand started much lower, but is now only slightly lower than Obama.

The BIG difference is that Trump's average is the lowest of any modern president.

 

I recall it being better, much better than Trump. Obama had class, Obama was a cool dude. Trump is an A hole.

Anyone who loots is a criminal, and criminals don't think about politics nor do they vote, they don't care about such things. People who vote are people who care about america, people who vote do not go around looting anything.

This narrative the right is painting that "looters are leftists" is a right wing propaganda agenda to associate leftism with criminality, which is rich considering republican administrations in modern times have committed far more crimes than democratic administrations.

Obama is loved by more Americans than Trump is loved.

Obama is on the lecture circuit, he is saying things, things that are truthful, things that matter.

Obama will have an impact on the election. He is a better man than Trump. Hell, just about every candidate on the right and left is a better man that Trump. Trump is the worst president in history. You can't just go by the economy, noting that Trump's economy is very unhealthy, it's far more unheathy than any point in history.

Trump is a threat to the health, wealth, and national security of the nation, and on top of that, he's lowering America's stature and influence in the world.

 

Wow, you’re bad on the koolaid this morning. Obama is making paid speeches at Goldman Sachs. He was a neoliberal hack, and a war monger, who spied on Americans, as well refused to have people who served under him held accountable for their wrongdoing.

Obama is becoming an eminence gris. The problem is he was that while he was President and while you're President you're supposed to be proactive in pushing your agenda. not a behind the scenes advisor. Obama could have easily put in a single-payer healthcare in his first 2 years when he had both Houses of Congress on his side. He let the opposition bamboozle him and as a result they took over in the midterms and his agenda never recovered

 

I'm going to have to disagree with that statement. In point of fact, Obama only had a filibuster proof senate for about 70 days. Without a filibuser proof senate, in order to have any hope of anything passed, it would require contribution and approval from Republicans.

Any heath care bill would take over a year, going back and forth form the house to the senate, amendments by both parties, by the hundreds, before final bill is worked out. Therefore, when Obama got the house working on it, it was long before he knew he was going to have a filibuster proof senate. Given that the heritage foundation had originated the 'mandated insurance' idea, and Romney had a version of it installed in Massachussets when he was governor, Obama reasoned that the principle behind the ACA was compatible to what he believed the right find acceptable so that is why he chose that path. When he finally got a filibuster senate, much of the work on the bill had already been done, and you can't just erase it and start over, because he did not know how much longer he would have a filibuster proof senate given the tenuous hold on it, with only one seat above the threshold, it made a lot more sense just to pass the ACA in that window than start over again.

 

I realize that Obama wasn't a progressive and dems have criticized him for this or that. But, his 'neoliberalism' was nothing like Bill Clinton's.
You take your speeches everywhere as president, you want all groups to hear your point of view. Trump has done far worse, former Goldman & Sachs personel comrpise much of his cabinet. There is no evidence Obama 'spied' on Americans.

 

Approval is not the same as liking.

 

More people LOVE Obama than they do Trump This will always be true.
