Yay, Team US Coppers! Well done. This is the way to keep friends and influence people. The bloke is seated, well out of the way and he is viciously attacked doing his job by an exceptionally brave Cop. He sees a target. Sometimes the media gets caught in dangerous situations. Blame the violent leftists rioters, not "US Coppers". Tensions are high. Attempting to grab officers’ weapons is a good way of getting shot, so hopefully the Aussie media crew stay far away before bloodshed starts. A brick can kill you no matter if your badge says "media".

There is no training police receive that citizens cannot receive. No hand to hand combat training, no fire arms training, nothing. With rioters acting the way they are, the manner in which to get control is violence. It’s the one language people like these scumbags know.

Innocent people are inevitably going to get caught up in the cross fire. That example you supplied could have gone any other way. There is no sure fire way to gain control without violence. You can play the nice guy, mabye they buy it mabye they dont. Demonstrate you are stronger than your opponent, and you win. Even in 2020, that is the unfortunate reality of our human species remains.

David Dorn a retired police captain was murdered by "peaceful protesters" while attempting to protect the private property of another. The motto should be "black thug lives matter", it is really damn clear that nobody gives a damn about the lives of productive black people. No media frenzy for Mr Dorn, no calls for justice for Mr Dorn, instead lets concentrate on some media hack who got his fee-fees hurt.

I watched the video and don't see the problem. They weren't struck. They were told to move. They got caught up in the effort of the police to move the rioters. They wanted everyone to move. The woman reporter said, "Following the attack, Brace, You heard us yelling there that we were media but they don’t care, they are being indiscriminate at the moment.” They got yelled at. BFD.

Which is why it works. You dont have to do it forever, just long enough to disperse the angry crowds. Arresting those who are leaders, dispersing the rest. Demonstrating strength when needed is the only way to stop stuff like this from happening.

It being temporary is why it works.

 

Clearly we have two ideas of the definition of success. Without a common agreement on what constitutes a success we’re wasting our time.
