If those demonstrators and protesters using their first amendment rights had left the cities by 4:00 p.m. to let the police have clear access to the violent riot-loot-burn-murder thugs, they could have been heard. But that opportunity is lost forever. Instead by design they served as a diversion to help the violent riot-loot-burn-murder thugs.

I'm sure a white supremacist group DID promote hate online...nothing surprising there. Don't pretend this doesn't happen on both sides though. During all of the trump election madness a couple of years ago there was the black man in jersey that sprayed a swastika on a car with "white power" on it, there was also the musilim woman that admitted later to lying about 3 white college students harassing here. There was also Jussie Smoilet's hoax and he's a celebrity! I don't know what conspiracy theory you are trying to prove here other than white supremacists do bad things (which we all know). How does "republican" tie into it? I see you slipped that in at the end there. Can you ever just share a fact without some ridiculous spin?

COVID is long over with. None of it matters now. Nobody is going to listen to one word the government or the Mediocres says now.

    The DP demanded the lockdowns.
Trump just gave them what they asked for - good and hard.

Probably a lesson there for DP strategists.

Spread that rumor far and wide.

I'd love to see the Black rioters beating up the Antifa rioters thinking they are White Supremacist rioters.

The tragic thing is the few destructive demonstrators are going to prevent the country from having the conversation it needs to have about racism and discrimination. Not to mention the perils of electing an overt bigot prez.

Democrats had the blue states locked down for no good reason, then they failed to stop the looting and arson. Why do they do things to destabilize the nation?

Do you have any evidence which confirms the involvement of right white nationalists?

The only "proof" I've seen so far is Minnesota officials who claim to have taken rioters into custody that have ties to white nationalist groups, but they haven't yet revealed their identities.

Why haven't their identities been revealed? Why are Democrat governmental officials covering for right wing extremists?

I've asked those questions several times now, and I'm yet to get any response.

Trump was the decider, Trump decided on the lockdowns, if Trump is that weak that he can't decide for himself, maybe he should not be President

So the DP asked trump to do something they thought was smart, he obeys them, turns out to be very stupid...and it's only Trump's fault that he gave YOU what YOU wanted?

    lol.

Some alt left radicals in this country are so confused. Very much looking forward to these Debates.

You think a covertly bigoted President is better?

Anyway, If Minnesota which hasn't voted Republican in over 50 years, has a liberal Governor and a very liberal mayor of Minneapolis can't converse its way out or riots, who can?

And where are the Latinos in all of this? The only report I saw is about a Black Latino neighborhood in NYC telling BLM to take a hike.

Virtually everyone was on board to address police brutality until half the country decided to inject racism into the situation.

"White people are racist and evil" is not the solution to the problems that ended George Floyd's life.

But hey, the left has got to keep their voters whipped into a frenzy.

    This is rather deceptive.

When I looked at that, showing that Portland’s crime rate was 1.6 times the national average which was higher than 93% of cities, I had to question it. After all, compared to other cities Portland is a relatively safe place. Many a time I have taken long leisurely walks at night and have never encountered the level of crime that the report suggests. So I started looking up other cities. They all had rather high ratings as well. The more cities I looked at, the more a clear pattern emerged.

From the data one can say that the larger the city the more the crime. The rating is deceptive in that it compares cities of more than half a million against bedroom communities of a few thousands. The crime rates in bedroom communities tend to be low because the people jump in their car and drive to the big city to get drunk, stupid and commit crimes.

In my immediate neighborhood, from data from the Portland Police shows that on my block the crime rate is zero. Neighbors were upset when it was revealed that because the crime rate was so low in our area, as a cost saving move, the police never patrolled our block, and the next few over. Except for those few who come looking for cans on trash day, I never see homeless people in my neighborhood.

However this does reveal the near pathological need for conservative to bash Portland. Most conservatives are absolutely convinced that Portland has the worse homeless problem in the country. Yet the data shows that Portland is the 25th largest city and has the 49th worse homeless problem, which means that Portland does better than most cities it’s size. Eugene has much worse of a problem but conservatives tend to ignore it, because Eugene isn’t a liberal icon like Portland is.

What I find most funny is that conservatives on this forum just love to bash Portland, yet I never hear anyone telling me how nice it is where they live.

Portland has very low crime because-

Very small minority population, and that's probably because Portland is very racist.

Portland has a black population that's less than half the national black population.

They price minorities and low class people out by design. It's a white Utopia!

I believe I did complement the Portland area. But, it's no 'better' than other areas around this country, regardless of political lean.

The commentary as to keeping Republicans 'out', I have to wonder, have you gone about Portland inquiring everybody's political lean? Why? I don't care what my neighbor's political lean is, are they decent people and treat others as human beings?

You and I definitely have different measuring sticks for people. I like mine.

    So they claim.
But many of their "tactics" are very similar to the brown shirts (i.e. fascists).

When has a right wing gang ever attacked a town?
Why are these antifa groups most active in the most progressive cities, where a right wing barely exists at all, and in any case would be highly frowned upon by the vast majority in that area?

This seems to me like a giant boogeyman to justify this unruly behavior.

As if we are to believe that the police forces in all the most progressive cities are full of racism.
And many of the cities (like Minneapolis) never even had an African American community of any substantial size before 20 years ago, so where exactly did this racism come from??

Possible high unemployment plays a factor too
