A free upgrade? Someone must have complained to customer service.

It seems like they are tossing these officers under the bus to try to appease the unruly crowds.

Maybe that officer, as well as possibly the ones that were surrounding him, do deserve a little bit of punishment. But they are facing a drastic amount of over-punishment.

It's also very well and possible the prosecutor could be overcharging them, trying to push them into a plea bargain, because they know it would be a public/political disaster if these officers were found not guilty at trial, which is a real possibility, from what I understand about the details of what happened.

Or maybe just overcharging them until the novelty of the news story and public outrage dies down, since typically it takes 9 to 14 months before a trial is held, in this sort of situation.

Ideally they would agree to plea agreements and make it go hush-hush away, because downgrading after upgrading would reveal what you said, and the "uppity" crowd wouldn't like that at all.

Seems more like a way to placate the angry masses rather than accurate charging. In court I’m sure the punishment will be appropriate.

And now even less a chance of a coviction. 2nd degree has to have an intent to murder.

This is quickly turning into mob justice and a mob lynching all based on emotions.

And the other charges require a conviction on the 2nd degree murder for Chauvin. The 2nd degree requires an intent to kill. How does Ellison prove that and there is still the question of the cardiac distress before he even went to the ground which very likely without the officers touching he might well be dead.

Interestingly enough, if this case falls apart in court because of mistakes in charging the officers it will all be on the slippery shoulders of serial wife beater and Antifa supporter, the Attorney General of MN, Keith Ellison.

Oh no doubt. Once the criminal justice system be comes something at the whims of the mob, I’ll never trust them again.

Take steps to protect yourself now, so you dont ever have to be handled by a fickle society.

The main alleged murderer cop CHAUVIN his charge got upgraded to 2nd degree murder. The other there were nailed with aiding and abetting of 2nd muder and 2nd degree manslaughter.

Wonder if the strategy is to leave room for the the main cop CHAUVIN to plead 2nd degree IF th that is allowed in Minnesota.

Two of the assistants were holding Mr. George down but the third cop who I believe was derelict of his duty to try and stop the slow killing of the suspect but he was not an active participant. it seems to me that there should be three levels of charges.

    A: 2nd Murder for Chauvin

B: aiding and abetting 2nd ruder for the two who knelt on Mr. Georges legs
C: some form of failure to stop orfaiure mitigate the act of 2nd murder of better yet 2nd manslaughter.......

Hey i could be wrong I was wrong once!!!!

Keith Ellison could have just made a mistake upgrading the charge to murder2.

The people are not going to be happy until all 4 officers are convicted.

I don’t see a plea deal on the table, because the people want a conviction.

Murder 2 may be hard to prove and could create enough wiggle room for a hung jury.

I don’t see an acquittal, but if they truly have
A diverse jury, Murder2 may be hard to prove.

We know a hung jury would result in a retrial, But hopefully there will be no rioting like after Rodney King trial.

hey don't hold out on us get your proof that Ellison supports ANTIFA groups and get that immediately to ATTY GEN BARR so that legal action can be taken up against Ellison.... The wife beating stuff well that may be allowed in his religion ( I hear Evengenitals allow wife beating, I could be wrong ) and you do not want to be charged with religious interference- right ? .

Funny how we have mob justice out on the streets and we have a so called Atty Gen at the federal level who is F-ing up cases at the obvious direction and/or wishes of POTUS T. Then of course a corrupt POTUS will just pardon the crap out of any criminals that are the friends of POTUS T. So yes we have mob justice and corruption in the White House InJustice!!

Justice in the country is on life support for more than one reason.

The way I see it, the drugs the man had been taking and the cardiac issues were very likely a factor in this man's death.

That's not to say the drugs and cardiac issues by themselves killed him, but they made him more susceptible to what those officers were doing.
This is not excusing what the officers did, but he would probably not be dead if it was not for the illegal drugs he was taking.

Which will be a huge mitigating factor here.

    Who has been pardoned?

Roger Stone is going to jail, but Michael Avenatti is free. Who released Avenatti?

    It wasn’t the AG Barr.

Has anyone seen "official" investigation results form all this? The only thing that I've seen so far was a autopsy report that said George had drugs in him was was drunk.

With that said, I can't say if this upgrade in charge is warranted or not. I don't know the officer's reason for his knee on his neck was. I do have a feeling through that this upgrade will blow up. I agree that these officers are being thrown under the bus.

No doubt the looters will complain they're happy with more outrage which gives them more opportunity.

The Dem controlled Executive branch in Minn has been really slow to act in this case. Wonder why?

A lot of the times people need a scapegoat. Since there's nobody on the officers side, they are good scapegoat. Forget about Justice.

You are simply making stuff up. The president has done a great job so far despite dealing with the most corrupt version of democrats this nation has ever seen.

Sure POTUS T is doing a great job lying and dividing our country and sowing hatred. Let us not forget hypocritically waving a Bible.

I agree..... win or lose.... Roger Stone will be pardoned.

Depending what happens with the rogue judge, Flynn could possibly be pardoned.

I don’t see a Marc Rich type of outrageous pardon.
