https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/pol...ote-to-be-canceled-amid-fraud-claims/2435162/ Nothing to see here people, move along...
I was talking to one of my blue relatives and he said, so what if there are only a couple frauds in mail in voting, I let the "only a couple" slide and my opinion is that if there is even ONE blank ballot filled out by a ballot harvester that cancels my legal vote then that is one too many. So I guess at least that one democrat is okay with cheating as long as it is not "too many". Then he proceeded to tell me about a vote fraud that was done by Republicans so I told him to show me, he pulled it up on his phone and Ooops, it was a democrat voting multiple times, he blew it off of course and said he must have pulled up the wrong one.....sure. Bummer for him. He closed it before I could see where it was, the coward.
Electoral fraud: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...harged-in-election-fraud-scheme-idUSKCN1QG2FS Voter fraud: https://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-mississippi-election-fraud-20181208-story.html https://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/whitehouse.gov/files/docs/pacei-voterfraudcases.pdf Close to 1000 cases minimum on vote in person, so by your assertion that “my opinion is that if there is even ONE blank ballot filled out by a ballot harvester that cancels my legal vote then that is one too many”, I guess we should just cancel elections all together?
It isn’t a myth, no system is perfect, but a few hundred votes on the grand scheme of a hundred thousand is fairly insignificant. I agree we need to do everything possible to both secure our elections and make it as easy to vote as possible. You skipped over my question btw, since in person voting isn’t 100% secure should we do away with it also? That is the reason some are making for vote by mail — and they have even fewer instances of fraud committed...
What about one vote in Virginia 2016 to determine which party controlled the statehouse? How about Florida 2000 which determined who would be President by 236 votes. How about when Al Franken won his Senate seat. In person voting is the most secure answer why would would get rid of it in favor of less secure systems. Can you cite me an election with voter ID that had to be scrapped because in person voting fraud was so rampant.
Na, trump just did it too just to give you one example. https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2020/06/donald-trump-felony-voter-fraud-florida.html It is insignificant usually but we should still do everything possible to prevent it and punish those that do while making the process as easy and as welcoming as possible to the maximum number of US citizens.
And voter ID is one of those everything possibles we should be doing and limiting the mass mailings of ballots to addresses where it is not confirmed the person it is being mailed to will receive it and is sending it back.
