    Is this a call for censorship? I wonder now who decides what gets on the air. Is this just replacing one political perspective with another:

    What no more Car 54 Where are You, CHIPS, or TJ Hooker reruns? Would this also include Charlies Angels, Knight Rider and Dragnet? Dang gum, going to have nothing on but The Jefferson's, Sanford and Son, and Shaft playing 24x7...

    PULEESE TV right now is at an all time low with no sports and ham like broadcasts from home lets not make it worse. And to top it off COMCAST has just raised my monthly bill by 20%,rubbing salt into my wounds.

    then take out Knight Rider and Charles Angels. But there goes COPS, all this CIS spin-offs, Hawaii 5-0, Bad Boys 1 and 2, etc..

    Oh wow, so they want to stop glorifying abuse of power and abusive behavior. What a novel idea!

    Who decides? These are companies. It isn't and never has been democratic. They are business decisions.

    We have had several abusive cops in the family. Guess what show they love - cops! They get off on dehumanizing the people who get arrested.

    Want to shut something down, lets go after COMCAST . I hate this company and when something else is available in my area COMCAST can then kiss by asp.

    She's not censoring as much as criticizing.

    These procedural shows have been around for quite some time. They're quite successful because they tend to offer a fairly simplistic formula that audiences can watch without getting lost in complex story arcs, even though as of late, some of them are getting better in the character development of the show, but in general, the formula of having the crime solved by the end of the episode is part of the formula. That some people assume this is how real LE works is of course due to the inanity of the viewing audience.

    What is far more dangerous in my opinion are the reality based shows like COPS. This is for all intents and purposes just pure propaganda for local police departments, as they have final say on the finished product. You'll never see a police officer doing any of the things police officers are accused of because they would edit it out. The reason the producers agree to this is purely financial.

    There's a reason why Comcast has been voted the worst company to do business with. They seem to excel in pissing their customers off.

    I believe Cops has a policy where they won't show black perps, which is too bad because greatly reduces the amount of footage they can air.

    I never watch tv cop shows because they tend to present the cops as caring honest people. And in teal life we know that tends to not be the case.

    Disagree on one point.

    I've seen some seriously harsh takedowns, some crazy body slams. Sickking the dog on peeps, some stuff that looks lawsuit worthy to be honest.

    I've seen a boatload of episodes, I leave the marathons on when doing stuff at home.
