The left are idiots. They should have had Trump beaten long ago but instead they put up Statler and Waldorf as their candidates. All the way through COVID-19 I predicted a Trump victory as the left was showing their authoritarianism in spades. Michigan was a nightmare for them.

Along came George Floyd. Derek Chauvin assured a Trump loss with his knee, because Trump has handled this incident horribly. Mattis and Kelly came out against him. He threatened America with the military. Not to mention, the church stunt with the bible was way over the top. Now Waldorf is going to win.

Hell, a potato could win at this point.

If only Floyd lived and nothing happened. But those riots will translate to voter turn out, and it isn't a pro-Trump turn out either. Lots can happen between now and November though; a war, a terrorist attack. SAd to see you hang your hopes on that though. Still, something may save Trump...but that's unlikely.

Trump is NOT going to concede his defeat. He's been building up to that moment for four years. He'll probably call the election rigged and therefore invalid.

The sad part is; we are probably not going to see that moment because Trump will simply be re-elected. Unbelievable, but probably true.

But then we have another problem because as Trump no longer needs to be re-elected, he STILL refuses to leave after 2nd term.

I think it should be clear to everybody right now that Trump spits on the American Constitution and what it says are the rules for the Presidency; 2 terms and no more.

My concern over the last few weeks has been; will Trump grab the opportunity of Corona and racial tension chaos to do a coup d'etat? (He has already barricaded of the White House.)
I think Trumps reasoning (if that's a word applicable to him) is that his take-over is not seen as his coup but simply to 'restore law and order'.
A dictator must never be seen as 'The Great Dictator' until such time he can drop all pretense.

Or will Trump go the route of an election? Not that he will in any way respect the rules of that election, having prepared his defense (rigged voting) well in advance.

The chaos of protests have calmed down somewhat so perhaps the route of a immediate coup seems less likely.

It thus appears Trump aims for the election.

But whatever he does, he aims to be around for a long, long time, as he is the enemy of every rule that was ever written about democracy.
