It is hard to imagine the Americans would leave Germany totally to the last soldier. They surely will leave enough NGOs behind to do their spy work and other political oversights and influences.

It really sucks for the soldiers. They have to leave their nice and comfi German Barracks and probably end up in Poland, at the border to Russia, the ars of the world.
That must suck.

Well, Erik, it you want to be completely correct, then you would state that in Germany Erik is actually written as Erich.
Erich Krannitz for instance, who was a German POW in the USA during WWII and wrote the book "Let the Chips Fall".

LOL Hell I only spent two weeks in Germany. I ate a lot of things I couldn't read or pronounce. But that was what I liked best and ordered and ate it about every other day. I was in Spangdahlem and we used that for a home base to see the Eastern part and then spent a week in Garmisch - Partenkirchen. Climbed the Zugspize.

But... isn't your Ms. Merkel herself in trouble with the German voters? On a German Forum I read a lot of dissatisfaction and blunt insults about her. It seems they can't get rid of her fast enough. Yet, she always manages to stay another term in office.

 

What other motivation would there be? Not sure there was much motivation to help the Germans or Italians for that matter. Weren't about to hand over all of Germany to Russia.
