    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...mp-rally-include-liability-waiver/5334885002/

Trump wants those attending his rallies to sign a hold harmless agreement to shield him and or his campaign from liability if they get the CORVID 19 Virus.

Ok so the bebonee will not wear a mask but wants suckers who attend his rally give up a legal right. What do you guys think of what Trump is asking? He wants people and his fans to show up get spit at but not sue him.

    I think anyone would.
That paper can be a requirement in order to obtain insurance, so, it could be insurance company requirement to prevent lawsuits.

That may or may not provide a shield. It may not be upheld if challenged in court. But it may dissuade someone from suing just because they remember signing it.

I worked for event promoter in the past. Insurances demanding certain things, even bizarre ones, is not something unheard of.

The type of coverage for a rally would be written by a Lloyds of London type of specialty insurer due to the very uncommon nature of that beast. The cost of insurance may be so high as to make someone go bare.. e.g. no coverage.

I agree we in the industry did have a lot of tricks up our sleeves. I was in risk management property casualty line before I went to the dark side life and health my last 20 or so years. The job of risk management is to prevent, minimize , or avoid risk or by transferring the exposure to others.
I have been retired for a while.

Ambulance chasing exists. Some attorneys are leeches.

We need to prevent lawsuit abuse.

If you dont wanna sign it, don't go.

If you're worried about Cvirus, don't go or go but wear a mask.

    Easy peasy.

Heres hoping he comes to WA. I'll go and happily sign the form.

I apologize it was late last night when I penned this. It is the risk that Trump is trying to trans not exposure. You cannot transfer exposure but you can transfer risk using a hold harmless.

Not sure what you mean by lawsuit abuse. Anyhow yes there are too many attorneys who are ambulance chasers they even have TV commercials.

So, you object to the concept of accepting responsibility for your own decision to attend, right?

That shouldn't have to be even discussed, but with so many morons now believing that they should get to sue mother nature for raining on them, and having politicians supporting that and lawyers ready to sue provided they can see profit in it- it becomes necessary.

Morons, liberals and progressives often think that no matter what happens to them, it's somebody else's fault. That's why we have warning labels and disclaimers. And Trump knows that the leftists will send their most gullible liberal morons to the rallys undercover as disruptors- most likely having already insured they do have the virus.Trump will be practicing social distancing, the morons will be in people's faces.

So... we have to do the right thing. Warn them not to be stupid, and if they do- it's their own fault. Won't help the libs get smarter, just precludes the blame game. Actually George Carlin has the practicalright solution to this problem.
