I do not care for any anthem, they are silly.
But it is never the less good behavior to respect the host county's customs.

Are you aware of the jobs our defense spending create? Not only the millions in uniform, but the contracts awarded to civilian companies that employ tens of thousands. And when our planes, ships and tanks become obsolete in lieu of more advanced weaponry we sell them to other countries.

That’s because the absence of violence is a result from the presence of power.

Good that you admit that its just your welfare scheme. Im not interested in german tax money to be used for american welfare projects.

So whats your problem exactly? You want Germany to spend more in defense, while we have no enemies that would justify that. And for what? To copy your welfare scheme?

Evry western european nation has such a high technological level, that they all are untouchable. Germany, France, UK need no protection.

You dont wonder how this warped image and misunderstanding exists? That your president believes housing US troops to be a priviledge and thinks pulling them out is a punishment...while Germany responds thats not enough and leading german politicians bring a complete withdrawl up.

Right now USA is a bigger security risk for Germany than Russia or China. We have good relations with Russia, seek more distance for China and our relations with USA are broken down completly.

Its not Russia that tries to interfere in our souvereign energy politics, its USA. USA sanctions a german gas pipeline in an attempt to force us to buy american LNG which is 30% more expensive and less reliable. You would never accept another country trying to do that, yet dont understand why we firecly oppose that. You make a suprised face when we ignore the sanctions, press for completion of the pipeline and outlaw american LNG deliveries.

And thats just one point, you tried dictate us oir defense spending and then look suprised when we ignore it and openly say your F-35 is a flawed design.

You say this while more than once earlier you said "Germany has no enemies". You can't have it both ways.

And nations can go from allied or neutral to mortal enemies almost overnight. Iraq did in 1990. So much so that U.S. News & World Report had as their cover article just 18 months prior to this

    "Does America Need An Army?"

actually.......he should have stayed in his bunker without access to twitter and let the adults run the country. that has three concurrent crisis going on. He is showing a lack of fitness for the job that is appalling. Hostile, provocative, divisive, verbally cruel.while being a petulant juvenile i n his attitude. A bully is not a strong leader. If ever a nation needed solid mature, and sane leadership......it is now.

Iraq was no threat to USA in any way.

Btw considering how things develop, would you as a german chancellor allow Trump to try dictate you
energy politics? Would you end construction of a pipeline that is 95% completed because a foreign power demands it? And then buy gas from that country, which is 30% more expensive, all the while that country has a antigerman government and a highly erratic president who could cut off those gas supplies any day if you dont follow as ordered?

Absolutely. The numbers are on the rise again.......and he has no clue as to the seriousness of the situation........and is only interested in getting re elected (and resuming his rallies. And tweeting his lunacy for the world to see. I really don't think the chap is psychologically balanced. Too angry, too impulsive, too erratic, and simply not rational .

Chancellor Merkel cant work with him. She is a scientist with a phd in nuclear physics...he is a moron. I think she is also the only one who openly stands against him, calls his bullshit out.

Good for her. Trump has isolated himself and the US a lot since he took office. Not a good thing to do in a world that is as networked as ours is. It is like he is out of touch with where the world is and is heading. Merkel is a very impressive woman ......and leader. I suspect Trump is threatened by her intelligence, and capabilities. She sees him for what he is. It would be hard for anyone to deal with someone as volatile as he is.

Well they say communication between Merkel and Trump broke down completly. At first when he took office, she tried. Now she calls him out. There are no calls over months, normally german chancellor and american president phoned twice per week. When they talk, she berates him and openly calls out his bullshit. Like when he wanted to hold the G7 meeting to use it to play normal and she declined his invitation.
When she asked why a handbag seller (ivanka) is present at a meeting between two nations leaders, she gained no kudos from trump as well ;)

Merkel dissed China when you still had George Bush Junior as president.

She doesnt need an orange goon to invite the Dalai Lama official to Germany and meet him in her office in 2007

Or giving president Xi an ancient map of China to remind him of Chinas borders

Now that we cleared that rubbish, that she "heeded" to Trumps call to act against China, what else you claim to be Trumps win?

    The moon landings?

Being a scientist does not make one a good leader.

You've been listening to the Trump hating zealots from the United States too much. That is a ridiculous claim.

You don't wait for a nation to become a threat to take action against it.

She obviously is a good leader. She got elected 4 times in a row now, has highest ratings of all politicians. She made Germany the powerhouse of Europe.

She made it possible that we had for years each year a 60 billion budget surplus. Because of that she steers Germany through this crisis with minimum impact.

No other western natin did better with COVID-19 than Germany. Her swift action helped to prevent a desaster that we see in the USA.

She made one mistake in 2015, which she corrected.

So you say she is a great leader beside being a scientist?

Plus i have high respect for her not to buckle to Trump but to stand for her nation.

Iraq never was, never is and never will be a threat to any nation that is more than 500km away. Who else do you fear? Palau?

Iraq (nor any nation) doesn't have to be within a certain range of the U.S. to threaten us or our interests. If Palau becomes hostile to the U.S. then yes.

No, i actually just see how pathetic he acts and i see the result. He is an utterly moron and uneducated fool. Thats visible from his actions and the retarded stuff he says.

And i just take that from the uncommentated speeches of him they transmitt here.

Why you think your president is the laughing stock of the world`?
