Throughout history, other leaders and heads of state have fearfully hidden in bunkers when their outlandish behavior caused serious blowback for them. Can you name some of those people?..

Of course Hitler is the first to come to mind, but there have been many others, so lets just leave him out of this.

Jimmy Carter left a Bible and a pair of Mr. Rogers pajamas in the White House bunker when he left office in 1980. Reagan tossed the PJ's when he took office.

The only event I can find concerning Jimmy Carter and the bunker was a quote from his diary after a scheduled drill for when nuclear bombs were launched and on the way here. He is quoted as writing “my intention is to stay here at the White House as long as I live to administer the affairs of government, and to get Fritz Mondale into a safe place” Such drills are practiced for all presidents, and are nothing unusual, Trump is the only American president to have taken to the bunker because of his fear of American citizens, that I can determine.. You should either supply a link to your claim, or admit it was just more made up propaganda.

As far as I know the british royal family during the blitz stayed in London and had sometimes to hid in a bunker.

But maybe that example is not good for your point ?

The British royal family wasn't hiding in the bunker in fear of their own citizens were they?
