A reporter in Seattle went inside the "autonomous nation" now called Chop.
If you wonder what that's like inside this left-wing utopia, here's the video he took, obviously with a hidden camera.

If you don't wonder, look anyway. Ya gotta see this to believe it.

Just thought I’d add this video. It shows you why they changed their name to CHOP

    Unfortunately, the audio seems unintelligible.
Somehow, that is both ironic and appropriate.

Another Occupy camp. It doesn't look like there's much in the way of politics, it looks a lot like any other homeless camp around the country. Whatever their intent was it looks like it's devolved into chaos. When they finally move out nothing will have been accomplished by these idiots.

The audio worked fine for me?

He says “we are not Chaz, we are CHOP. Has anyone here ever heard of the French Revolution before? That is another revolution. Because people started putting property over lives. They started putting money over people. Does anybody here know what happened to the people who did not get on board with the French Revolution? (You can hear several in the crowd yell out “CHOP”) he continues, “Say it louder! Say it louder!! That is the message that we need to send. We are SERIOUS!! This is not a joke! I’m tired of seeing my people be genocide by every definition of the word. It is not CHAZ it is CHOP!!”

Then you hear chants of CHOP CHOP CHOP

Except, a massive amount of damage, the total loss of credibility for Seattle leadership, a total loss of trust for Seattle police, and an encouragement of the scum of the city.

Maybe that is precisely what the organizers intended.

    Thanks for the clarification.
I'd say that fits with everything else we've seen about these people. Disgusted at the tolerance of them, but not surprised at the message.

It isn't as if this sort of thing hasn't happened before, why isn't there some level of pro-active preparedness for such things? Demonstrations are one thing but when it evolves into what we've seen shouldn't there be an overwhelming force to put these things down quickly? It seems hand wringing and a lack of action allows these things to escalate quickly. If it isn't managed in 24 hours it's too late. It also seems that every time it happens it is much worse than the last time. It just doesn't make sense that with this sort of anything goes type anarchy there isn't a plan to deal with it. The problem is a reluctance to react with force, the fear that any action will be immediately labeled police brutality, so what's better mayhem, destruction and murder? As we've seen this is mob activity, mostly disorganized and needs to be dealt with swiftly and in a highly organized way to beat it.

The thing that has changed between what would have been done and what is being done now- is the level of cowardice in leadership, as well as people. Strong people do not need to abuse others to make a point; weak people do. Strong people do not allow themselves to be wrongfully abused- weak people do.

The mayor of Seattle has all the backbone of a sour dishrag. The female police chief- right behind her. Headline this morning reads
"Seattle store owner says cops never responded to repeated calls about a break in; police chief says her police "observed" from a distance."
They should change the color of their uniforms to yellow. Not the cops she ordered to stand down- but the chief and her co-conspirators. If they are going to be chickens, they should dress like chickens.

Cops without courage are fakes; and the good men on those police forces have been deeply insulted and betrayed by fakes in leadership.
I would not be surprised to see the entire police force resign. A city that does not back up it's law enforcement team doesn't deserve them; thus if the people of Seattle actually want to have a city where law and order prevail, they are going to have to remove and replace the leadership- or lose their city. I question their courage too- because they haven't already done so.

I tried following a TV series and wound up randomly watching a few episodes over the years. Seems CHAZ/CHOP was shot on the set of The Walking Dead.
Side note, the malcontents have tried so hard to wipe Tucker Carlson's show from the air that he is now setting record ratings for cable news viewings.
Thanks to all those who hate him so much.

Kind of keeps your mind occupied, doesn’t it. Keeps you from remembering that Trump’s wonderful insight and great leadership qualities has led the United States to become the number one country in the world for Covid 19 outbreaks and deaths. And how confident he has been in his inability to control an economy on a roller coaster ride. And how he has once again brought the country together to finally end the scourge of institutionalized bigotry. After all there is no better way to stop protestors protesting police brutality than more police brutality. We just need more police to keep everybody in their place.

Ultra liberal mayor does not order police takeover. As long as she doesn’t - it’s a de-facto authorized event like a street festival.

Just can't get it, can you? You keep telling yourself what you want to think you see is what you see, and what you see is not what it appears to be and is really- what you want.
Have no idea how anyone can do that.

I think you are the one telling me how those were normal people in the "automonomous zone". Now we've had a look; know what you think is normal..... Wow.

    Utopians are Murderers

LEFTY EUPHEMISM ALERT: CHOP Cheers Theft… er… ‘Unplanned Donation’ as Cuomo Says Some People ‘Shouldn’t Have’ Police.

CHOP must have been laughing their anarcho-commie bottoms off when New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said in an NPR interview on Monday that if the people of a city don’t want there to be a police department, then “they shouldn’t have it.”

There are no police inside the Capitol Hill Occupied Protest (CHOP) — or the Freelance Socialism Zone Formerly Known as CHAZ (FSZFMC) — and it would take a heart of stone not to laugh at what’s going on there.

A once-happy CHOP resident took to Reddit a few days ago after several items — including a pricy MacBook Pro — were stolen from his tent.

Here follows his tale of woe, collected for you by Twitter user “Brick.”

A couple years ago I'd have been 100% sure that reply was satire or sarcasm. Now, 50/50.

THIS IS NOT THE FRENCH REVOLUTION; IT IS THE ACTING OUT OF SPOILED, IGNORANT AND UNGRATEFUL THUGS:

We are not seeing a repeat of the French Revolution; not at all, no matter how righteous this band of rioters think they are. We are seeing something similar to what characterized the 1960s, even as the Republicans passed the Civil Rights laws against Democrat opposition. Domestic terrorists were the order of the day then; rich white people like Tom Hayden and Bill Ayers and their pals riled up the college students of yore in 1968 and Nixon was elected in a landslide.

While it’s true that Ayers’ Weather Underground was no French Revolution, it wreaked considerable destruction at its peak:

Many of us forget that the Weather Underground bombing campaign was not a matter of a few isolated incidents. From September 1969 to May 1970, Mark Rudd and his co-revolutionaries on the white radical left committed about 250 attacks, or almost one terrorist bombing a day (government estimates put that number much higher). During the summer of 1970, there were twenty bombings a week in California.

And that was decades before “the social media virus” ran rampant on the left, allowing leftist groups much easier coordination, planning, and amplification of their anger, while also leading nice digital trail for prosecutors.

No doubt. The power has probably given up on these 'sanctuary cities', and are manipulating their devolution into ghettos. It's all about containment. Feed them whatever agitation they'll buy, and leave them to it.

Yes, the economy has been on a roller coaster ride due to China Virus......but do you think there is a Democrat that could have done any better???? We'd still be in lockdown if they had their way and the virus would still be waiting to pounce! Do you think lockdown makes it go away? Ha! My generation has gone through several flu viruses that killed many more and we never went on lock down.
Institutionalized bigotry is the excuse people use to try and get ahead. Many of all minority race have done that. When there is the bigotry you claim it just doesn't happen! It's amazing how people that live in the white guilt mode work with racial minorities to build up this victim complex. Then they work together to tear down the nation as a whole. You can't deny that is happening.
