Black Africans captured other black Africans, at that moment they became slaves. They did not need to reach America to become slaves since the captured black Africans had no free will from the moment other black Africans captured them with the intent to put them up for sale. This is your typical democrat blaming America for a problem it didn't create and for a problem that no longer exists. All this nut is doing is stirring turds and agitating.

On another note, I'm getting tired of hearing about 'black.' The left is doing the best they can to erase history, so why don't they erase the part about slavery and then everything will be just fine.

I would also suggest Mr Kaine invest in a world history book.

CLASSIC example of political pandering regardless of the truth or damage it will do.

    He's an ignorant dumbass.

Now..... the real question..... how many of his equally ignorant followers will believe him?

I guess since the "history of slavery" and the "causes contributing to the Civil War" can't be dumbed down to a one paragraph summary, some morons would rather learn fake history from ignorant tweets instead. God help us.

LOLOLOL.. from the guy who open 70% of the race-based threads on this forum, that's priceless....

If you actually listened to the clip, he tried to say that the US embedded slavery in our laws, we didn't inherit those laws from England...

It's clear if you listen to the entire section of the clip, but it's was poorly worded nonetheless...

Obviously, slavery goes back to the beginning of recorded history....

LOL. The US invented something that existed thousands of years before there was a US! To further show their opposition to slavery, Democrats will raise taxes and deny workers more of the fruits of their own labor!

Yeah, we inherited those laws from MoHamMad, but to the point, the jerk Democrat better not get so much as one drop of "US embedded" crap on me, I wasn't there, I didn't know George Mason, I should NOT have to pay one freaking penny for what MoMamMad did to the raped black slave women paraded in the Mosque.

Good grief! Slavery is thousands of years older than American civilization.

Western civ abolished it in the 19th century.

Africans captured other Africans and sold them to white slave traders. Some want that erased from history.

Slavery is as old as civilization and even older. Used by all races.

Tim needs to go back to school. Or find some integrity. Probably the latter along with some honesty.

Until both parties start calling out their own America will continue to decline and implode from within.

"Sen. Tim Kaine: "The United States didn't inherit slavery from anybody. We created it.""

I think Southern Conservatives got the directions from the Bible and felt they had a God given right to own slaves

Not at all. In fact, recent polls show about 98%(it should be 100% but what can you do) of Americans oppose slavery. And in my view, the civil war needn't have been fought because 30 years later, the lawn mower was invented, there'd be no more need for slaves as it was easier to do it yourself then to whip a bunch of people in the plantations.

    Not really...

Slavery existed in the world for thousands of years and we got rid of it in under two hundred years. Pretty damned fast.

Then another hundred for equality under the law.

How many people were enslaved by Mohammad? Why aren't we tearing up the Quran and blaming Islam?

Blacks were enslaved by other blacks a thousand years before Africa ever saw a white man.

Who, in the entire recorded history of mankind, did it quicker?

As far as the idiotic claim that America "created" slavery, please see the following.

Good luck trying to explain history from 1000+ years ago to liberal-indoctrinated snowflakes who can't even grasp history from 160+ years ago.

it is fascinating to see so many people who lack the concentration span to watch about 90 seconds of video opining not only on the video they didn't watch, but on a topic that requires a lot more concentration & understanding than that. I guess if your entire understanding of history is rote learned dot points from people who are never going to challenge your prejudices then none of this is surprising.

That is a good summation of the liberals' approach to education regarding slavery in general, the antebellum South, and the Civil War.
