I always read the posts I reply to. Unlike many members here.

Your logic therefore extends to a future generation seeking reparations from descendants of liberals, who oppressed conservative message boards and blogs, waged illegal efforts to kill freedom of RIGHT speech, and generally lied about white racism while Donks gave a wide pass to Robert Byrd, a top Klansman, whose later claims of reform rang totally hollow to close listeners.

Affirmative action --- or revenge? Be really really careful what you ask for.

Do you believe homosexuals have the right to force a baker to act against his own religious convictions, so they can celebrate a false marriage?

No it wasn't. You posted the following:

“Racism is what happens when you back one group's racial bias with legal authority and institutional control. ... When you back one group's collective bias with that kind of power, it is transformed into a far-reaching system. It becomes the default. It's automatic. It's not dependent on your agreement or belief or approval. It's circulating 24/7, 365.

Racism is the foundation of the society we are in. And to simply carry on with absolutely no active interruption of that system is to be complicit with it. And in that way, we can say that nice, white people who really aren't doing anything other than being nice people are racist. We are complicit with that system. There is no neutral place.”

You never explained "what kind of racism" which was my response.

Imagine Occasional-Cortex bartending at a GOP bar.

Your question is flawed in its premise.

Maybe you would want an unqualified person to operate on your hip but most people would choose differently.
The key here is the fact nobody is forcing you into the storefront or business to deal with the people that I choose to hire.
    Stop being Karen.

Dive bars being more the Democrat style, eh? As for Occasional-Cortex, she'd probably get fired her first day.

If it works for you, that's fine. Others may feel differently.

Before I retired I used to love to go head to head with HR over who I wanted to hire. I didn't care about sex, age, nationally, race or religion as I just wanted the most qualified person for my unit. Diversity, PC BS, goals/objectives meant that there were more than a few times that a substandard person was hired. Had to pass on qualified blacks for women, women for blacks etc. Not right but it is what is is.

You should do a quick search on 'foreign names on resumes' and see what comes up. I thought this was something everyone knew, but I guess not...

Can you explain what harm is being done to people who have done no harm?

False equivalence. There are people alive today who directly suffered during the Holocaust. There is not one single person alive who was enslaved prior to 1866.

Those who came to America after the end of slavery should not be penalized and taxed to repay an injustice they never performed.

I’m responsible for knowing about all the nonsense you make up? I don’t think so.

So there is proof that the companies they applied to discriminated against them? Have lawsuits been filed?

So exactly how can name discrimination be corrected? The same way they attempt to correct it by requiring a company to have x% of employees with a certain type of name?

The 'discrimination' certain groups try to highlight is not something that can be changed by law. You cannot tell someone that they must hire a certain person, even if they meet their requirements. You must prove that they purposely did not hire someone for a specific reason such as skin color, or one of the other protected characteristics.

    The word "so" is superfluous.
