    You cannot go by the petcent of potential voters but go by the percent that actually vote. Trump supporters are extremely loyal voters not just passionate puppies. Tend,bet that Black voters who were passionate for Obama went WGAS for the Clinton Woman!

    You are right that passion means something. But even with that Trump still couldn't lock that popular vote to go with his electoral victory. And he was running against Hillary who was really unpopular. Now Trump is running against Biden who people like more and he is dealing with the worst economy since the great depression.

    The 40 million unemployed, that is what is wrong. The only way we are defeating covid is with a vaccine and it usually takes many years to develop those. If we got a vaccine out before the election, that would be extremely impressive and a lot would have to go well. It could happen though given that the whole world is hunting for a vaccine. But its far from a sure thing. If Trump wants to have a chance at a re-election, he needs that vaccine.

    I feel like a broken record. It 's the electoral college is what counts. The popular vote does not mean much unless you win the majority of the large population states.

    What do me need a vaccine for? Trump said to eat HydroChlorpQuine, shoot up with Lysol, or Chlorine Bleach, avoid wearing masks, stick close to other people especially at political rallies, and hold a Bible in front of a church any church but do not bother to read it.

    I understand the elector college is what counts and is our system and kudos to him for pulling off the surprising win. But Trump still got a minority of votes which means he wasn't popular. He had a passionate base and couldn't win a popular majority. It is really difficult to win the electoral college when you don't have the majority and now the democrats will be focusing hard on those rust belt states.

    Good point. Although there are a lot of promising vaccines being researched, we may never have a vaccine, especially if the virus mutates occassionally.

    The Dems need to focus on Va, NC, AZ, FL and he's all the rust belt states but not forget Maine , NH..... Of course if the Democrats start to get close to competitive in states such as GA, TX, Iowa, or Nebraska they can force Trump to spend money in those states therefore siphoning money from competitive states.

    There is no possible scenario where Donald Trump becomes "popular" with the American people. Except perhaps being assassinated by a foreign power and even that might not do it. He is just too loathsome and disgusting with too long a history to overcome that.
